00:33 Extreme Bull Riding taking place out here this weekend.
00:38 But before that happens, a lot is going on
00:40 and a lot of fun for you.
00:41 It's great for the whole family.
00:42 And I will tell you, I'm so surprised at where we're at.
00:46 I remember coming out to Queen Creek
00:48 and there was nothing out here.
00:49 Now you come out here, there's restaurants,
00:51 there's food, and this big center right here
00:54 that's gonna be having some of the best bull rider,
00:57 bull fighters in the community, in the world
01:00 taking place right here.
01:01 And it's going to be a blast.
01:02 Again, it's the PRCA Queen Creek Extreme Bull Riding
01:06 event taking place.
01:07 And I got three people who are gonna talk to us about it.

01:51 and Western Fusion.

02:31 Number two guy in the PRC World standings,
02:34 Kai Hamilton from Australia.
02:35 He's gonna battle it out against the number three guy
02:37 in the world standings, Tristan Hudson,
02:39 who's last year's Wrangler National Finals Rodeo Champion.
02:42 On the road to the NFR, right out here, guys.
02:45 You know, it's the Chapman American Hat
02:48 PRC Extreme Bulls out here, you know.
02:50 And it's gonna be super fun.
02:51 We're excited, there's so many good bull riders,
02:53 I don't even wanna go on and on.

02:56 - And we're gonna be talking about that
02:57 'cause we gotta make sure people realize
02:58 the difference between a bull rider and a bull fighter.
03:01 A lot of different than the rodeo clown and stuff.

03:04 are the seats are up close.
03:05 They are amazing.
03:06 You got suites that people are literally gonna be able
03:08 to taste dirt in their drink.
03:10 - Like I always say, man, you're gonna get some oats
03:12 in your guacamole, you're gonna be that close, Brad.
03:14 It's super neat, Bill and the crew has put together
03:17 an amazing experience for everybody.

03:58 But yeah, great time for the kids to kinda hang out
04:00 and just wander around, meet some rodeo royalty,
04:04 learn some stuff, learn some roping abilities,
04:07 just kinda hang out and have a good time.
04:09 And some great vendors, get a little Black Friday
04:11 shopping done while the kids run around.
04:13 So kill two birds with one stone.

04:15 And I gotta tell you, people, if you've not been out
04:17 to Queen Creek in a long time, you're gonna be amazed.
04:20 Very easy to get out here.
04:21 There are two, no, three major highways
04:25 that will get you here in plenty of time
04:27 and great place, plenty of parking.
04:28 So you gotta head on over.

05:57 and I said I had a chance to taste

08:06 Yeah, we do everything in-house,
08:07 so you get some nice, good color there, good flavor.

08:12 This is what I like about you guys.
08:13 You guys just said, "We're not just gonna bring
08:15 "one bottle for everybody to drink.

09:30 This is the first Chevy product we've had in a long time.
09:33 We are up here at Courtesy Chevrolet,
09:35 located at 1233 East Camelback, just west of the 51,

09:49 for some of these new 24s to be hitting the road.
09:51 - You know, one of the great part about Chevrolet
09:54 is just all their innovation that they've been doing
09:56 with Chevrolet and General Motors,
09:58 just making the cars more fuel efficient,
10:00 more comfortable, and more than anything, safer.
10:03 - That's right.
10:03 And don't forget, Courtesy Chevrolet is probably

10:34 So let's check out this 24 Chevy Equinox right here
10:38 that is powered by a 1.5 liter,
10:41 four-cylinder, turbocharged motor,
10:44 making around 200 horsepower.
10:46 Frankly, this thing gets up in rocks.
10:48 It's really surprising how well it works.
10:50 If you look here, really straightforward front end on here.
10:54 Everything you need and nothing you don't, right,
10:56 when it comes to it there.
10:57 So when you're coming down the road,
10:59 you're gonna be lit up by LED lights,
11:01 front and rear, I might say, on this.
11:03 And then, like I said, underneath here,
11:05 you got an inline four-cylinder,
11:07 driving a six-speed transmission behind it.
11:10 And if we walk around here to the side,
11:13 one of the things that we see here
11:14 is 17-inch alloy wheels right here.
11:17 And if you look inside, 16-inch brakes.
11:20 Those are almost like truck brakes, you know, Luis.
11:22 So I mean, really, that's good from a safety standpoint.
11:25 And then if you move up here to the side mirror,
11:27 you do have your blind spot control, again,
11:29 thinking about safety for sure.
11:31 Now, Luis, this has the premium cloth seats inside,
11:35 as well as that seven-inch monitor in the front.
11:39 What does Chevy really like in here?
11:42 What are they looking for for the people?
11:43 - So making sure that everything on the infotainment system,
11:46 on the center of the console, is really easy to use.
11:49 It's got that really nice touchscreen.
11:51 You have all the controls on the steering wheel,
11:53 which give you all those additional safety features.
11:55 But what I really like about the Equinox
11:57 is that you get a power seat.
11:58 You know, it may be something silly,
11:59 but you have a 12-way power seat with lumbar support.
12:03 And it just makes it super easy to just get comfortable
12:05 into the car itself and have a real good driving machine.
12:08 It's super simple to use,
12:09 especially with a lot of the controls
12:11 on the steering wheel itself,
12:13 which is gonna give you your lane departure,
12:15 your cruise control.
12:16 It's gonna go through all of your safety screens.
12:18 And it's also a tilt wheel up and down and forward and back.
12:21 So it's an adjustable wheel to just make it, again,
12:24 super comfortable, super safe, and super easy to use.
12:26 - Yes, in fact, that tilt telescopic wheel
12:29 actually contributes to the comfort I was feeling
12:32 because little bit longer legs,
12:33 so I like the seat back a little bit further,
12:35 the wheel comes in to meet me.
12:37 I like that.
12:38 Now, I also noticed USB, USB-C,
12:41 and a 12-volt power point along with auxiliary in there.
12:45 - Correct, and that's also in the rear too.
12:47 - Oh, right, okay. - Yeah, which is pretty great.
12:47 - So in the back too.
12:49 So General Motors didn't forget
12:51 about the people in the back.
12:53 Chevy for sure is definitely, you know,
12:56 I grew up a Chevy guy.
12:57 I mean, it was in Wisconsin,
12:59 not too far from Janesville factory.
13:01 Probably this might even been built in Janesville.
13:03 You never know.
13:04 Now, one of the things that we like to talk about too
13:06 is the mileage on this.
13:08 Actually getting about 28 miles to the gallon with this.
13:11 - So you get 28 miles to the gallon,
13:12 31 on the highway, believe it or not,
13:14 when you're at maximum fuel efficiency.
13:16 So they have the new EcoTec engines in them.
13:18 - Yes, yeah. - Make them super efficient
13:19 and super low maintenance on them as well.
13:21 You know, Equinox has the reputation
13:24 of being able to go almost 200,000 miles.
13:26 - Wow, well, I was impressed with the fact
13:28 that I went over 400 on a tank of fuel.
13:30 - Right, yeah, no, it's pretty great.
13:31 - Yeah, that's good.
13:32 Let's take a quick look here in the back
13:34 because one of the things that we like about this now,
13:36 this is the little brother to the Traverse
13:39 that has the third row,
13:40 but plenty of room in the back here
13:42 when you're looking at it for storage.
13:44 We got all kinds of room back here.
13:46 And then you have, it looks like about a 70/30 split.
13:50 If you want, you can go ahead and put the seat down
13:52 and get a little bit more extra in there too.
13:55 Well, that's gonna do it for the storage room for sure.
13:57 But MSRP on this is $29,700 a lease.

17:54 and we're just learning the business.

28:51 'cause it took a lot to get this license plate done,

28:57 It was actually House Bill 2129,
29:00 which is on my rodeo plate,
29:02 and that bill was passed to make this
29:04 a specialty plate available in Arizona.
29:07 - That supports rodeo throughout the whole state.
29:09 - Yes, and what's really nice is that
29:11 you can get, of course, one when you come out here
29:13 to find out more about 'em.
29:15 And as we look at the different ones,
29:16 it's not just for the cars.
29:17 We have it for the motorcycles,
29:18 we have it for the trucks,
29:20 we have it for specialty vehicles.

30:03 The bull riding's gonna be amazing out here.

31:22 However, we also know that some people
31:24 might get in situations where they're traveling
31:27 on ice and snow, and so we want them to be prepared.

31:31 Let's talk about prepared by talking about
31:34 some of the things that you brought
31:36 that are ideal for travel in the North Country
31:40 when you do it safely.
31:41 - Yeah, and so it starts out with an emergency prep kit.
31:45 It doesn't have to be a crate like this one.
31:48 It can be the cardboard box.
31:50 You just wanna make sure you have some things
31:52 that are gonna keep you comfortable
31:54 in case you get in that situation.
31:56 Traffic is stopped out there on an interstate highway.
31:59 There's snow and ice.
32:01 They're trying to clear things.
32:02 Traffic is backed up.
32:04 You wanna have those things
32:05 that are gonna keep you comfortable,
32:07 and it really starts with,
32:08 hey, you might get wet out there.
32:11 You might be trying to fix the car, something like that,
32:15 so it's always important to have those extra things,
32:18 the extra change of clothing.
32:20 We've got the jacket here.
32:21 That's my extra jacket, not the one I'm wearing originally.
32:25 - Fleece lined, right, and make sure that you have
32:29 these things and also things that will keep you dry.
32:33 - Exactly, and so shout out to NAU, of course,
32:37 the alma mater, but yes, that extra shirt.

33:04 It actually is a bag of cat litter.
33:07 A lot of people are surprised to hear us say,
33:09 it's not a bad idea to have some cat litter out there
33:12 because you wind up being able to use that
33:15 on the surface, on the ice.
33:17 It gives your tires some extra traction
33:19 if your tires are spinning.
33:21 - Would never have thought of that in my life.
33:22 - Exactly, it could be sand as well, some gritty sand.
33:25 You could bring that along.
33:27 Don't forget the first aid kit,
33:29 the extra drinking water, very important.
33:33 We've got some snack foods there.
33:35 The ice scraper, how many times might you be in Phoenix
33:38 and you think, oh, I forgot the ice scraper.
33:42 - Okay, see, I don't even own one of these
33:44 because I don't really go up north that much.
33:48 - You're using the credit card to scrape the windshield.
33:53 So those things are there.
33:54 - Can you imagine my windshield is declining
33:57 my credit card when I'm trying to use it?
33:59 - Exactly, finish it off.
34:01 - This seems fairly reasonable.
34:03 - Yes, people all the time, they're stuck in traffic.
34:07 My cell phone is going dead.
34:10 We don't want that happening.
34:11 Make sure you're bringing the charger.
34:14 You've got a flashlight, extra batteries for that flashlight.
34:17 And last but not least to mention
34:20 the prescription medications,
34:22 because a lot of people think I'm only going for the day.
34:26 Well, they're not, possibly they're gonna get caught
34:29 in something, the car slides off the highway,
34:32 something like that.
34:33 We want you to be ready to have those items
34:36 that'll keep you comfortable.
