00:00 I'm JD Durkin reporting from the New York Stock Exchange.
00:03 Stocks were in the green to close out the day's session.
00:05 The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 80 points higher, the Nasdaq closed almost 0.3%
00:11 higher and the S&P 500 closed up fractionally today.
00:14 This all comes as optimism grows that the Fed could be nearing the end of its rate hiking
00:19 cycle.
00:20 Fed Governor Christopher Waller indicated that central bank policy is currently "well
00:25 positioned" to bring inflation back down to the targeted level of 2%.
00:30 Markets are pricing in a 97% chance that the central bank holds rates steady in December
00:35 and a 30% likelihood that it cuts rates in March.
00:39 The next policy meeting is slated for December 12th.
00:42 In other news, if you're still trying to figure out the password to that Google account you
00:46 haven't checked in a while, time is running out.
00:49 Beginning on December 1st, Google plans to begin deleting accounts that have been inactive
00:54 for at least two years.
00:55 The company announced the move back in May, saying deleting the accounts is a way to prevent
01:00 security risks.
01:01 Internally, Google has found that older accounts are more likely to have reused passwords and
01:05 not use security features, things like two-step verification.
01:09 Then in August, the company said, "We want to protect your private information and prevent
01:14 any unauthorized access to your account, even if you are no longer using our services."
01:20 Again deleting accounts doesn't just mean email, everything from Google Docs to photos
01:24 will be wiped along with the unused email address.
01:28 There are however at least a few exceptions, accounts with YouTube channels, those that
01:31 have gift cards with a remaining balance, and those with published active apps will
01:35 not be removed.
01:37 That will do it for your daily briefing.
01:38 From the floor of the New York Stock Exchange, I'm J.D. Durkin with The Street.
01:41 Thanks for listening.
