00:00 Fancy that, the three of you working together.
00:02 Yeah.
00:03 You're a crew.
00:05 - Nope, not a crew. - Not together.
00:07 Welcome to WatchMojo,
00:08 and today we're counting down our picks for the most bingeable shows of the year.
00:12 Keep in mind that we aren't ranking them on quality,
00:15 but rather how likely you are to finish them in a single sitting.
00:19 What? What?
00:22 What is your problem? What?
00:27 Number 10, "Silo" Season 1.
00:29 A sci-fi epic with Rebecca Ferguson? Sign us up!
00:33 Based on a buzz-worthy book series,
00:35 "Silo" follows a woman who begins to question why society is forced to live underground.
00:40 And that is really all we can say without diving straight into spoiler territory.
00:44 Trust us, this is the kind of show you want to go into knowing as little as possible.
00:49 You let everyone in the silo know what you don't do.
00:52 You say the words that get you sent out there to die!
00:55 Watching the tightly written mystery slowly unspool episode after episode is downright addictive.
01:01 Throw in top-tier production values and hard-hitting political commentary,
01:04 and it's no wonder "Silo" is so mesmerizing.
01:07 - That must have cost you a fortune. - Yeah, worth every credit.
01:10 After all, it's saying something when 10 hour-length episodes still don't feel like enough.
01:15 Number 9, "Sex Education" Season 4.
01:24 Four seasons in, the awkward hijinks of Otis Milburn haven't gone limp yet.
01:29 If anything, it's only gotten better with age.
01:31 There was another sex therapist on campus.
01:34 Thanks to the show's tendency to push the envelope,
01:38 "Sex Education" bows out with all the heart, humor, and promiscuity that viewers have come to expect.
01:44 The only real issue is trying to savor it.
01:47 With just eight episodes a season, "Sex Education" feels like it's made to be watched in bulk.
01:52 Especially this final batch.
01:54 - May the best sex therapist win. - That would be me.
01:57 You'll laugh, you'll cry, and before you know it,
02:00 you'll already be watching the credits for the last time.
02:03 - Did that really just happen? - Yes.
02:05 - Oh. - Number 8, "Harley Quinn" Season 4.
02:09 Being bad has never been so good.
02:12 Then again, at this point, is anyone surprised?
02:14 Hello? Was my pose not dramatic enough?
02:18 "Harley Quinn" spent three seasons becoming one of the most delightfully entertaining programs on the market.
02:23 And season 4 is no different.
02:25 That's not to say nothing's changed, though.
02:27 On the contrary, this new run of episodes shakes up the series' status quo with exceedingly hilarious results.
02:33 Superheroes all have secret identities. All my identities are public!
02:38 Don't worry, it's still as unapologetically raunchy as ever.
02:42 But there's a newfound sense of progression to go with all the blood-stained violence.
02:47 Suffice it to say, this season of "Harley Quinn" is the joke that keeps on giving.
02:52 Okay, but you should know that your rage is making your forehead wrinkles pop!
02:56 - Don't look at me! - Number 7, "Abbott Elementary" Season 2.
03:01 Class is officially in session, and we could not be happier.
03:06 Airing the latter half of its second season in 2023,
03:09 "Abbott Elementary" continues to be A+ sitcom entertainment in every single metric.
03:14 Yes, that is huge. But I got two sign-ups for After School Podcast Club.
03:19 Oh, two? Two? Wow, that's enough to tango.
03:23 Do you like well-rounded characters? Optimistic storylines?
03:26 How about well-meaning comedy? "Abbott Elementary" has it all.
03:30 Meaning there's always a reason to tune back in.
03:33 Assuming you have the willpower to hit pause in the first place.
03:36 Every call is like the length between Netflix seasons.
03:38 Like, I don't remember what happened on last season of "Stranger Things." That was 10 years ago.
03:42 There's truly no other show out there, comedy or not, that scratches the same joyful itch as "Abbott Elementary."
03:49 Just be warned. If you binge too fast, you'll be left waiting for more episodes like the rest of us.
03:54 After School Crew is back, baby!
03:56 Not that. Alright.
03:58 Number 6. "One Piece" Season 1.
04:01 To put it nicely, live-action anime adaptations don't have the greatest reputation.
04:06 But, despite the odds, Netflix proved everyone wrong with a compulsively watchable trek to the high seas.
04:13 "Gum-a-gum!" "Pistol!"
04:21 "One Piece" successfully translates the tone of its source material into the live-action space.
04:26 Complete with staggering set design and slam-dunk casting.
04:30 For those who can't commit to an anime with a thousand episodes and counting, this is a worthwhile toe in the water.
04:36 But Netflix's "One Piece" isn't just brief in comparison.
04:40 It's genuinely engaging from start to finish.
04:43 "Pistol!"
04:45 "Yes!"
04:51 Whether you're a long-time fan or setting sail with the straw hats for the first time, "One Piece" has you covered.
04:56 "Oh, not bad, boy. Not bad."
05:02 Number 5. "Jury Duty" Season 1.
05:05 The verdict is in. This is your next weekend binge.
05:09 "Jury Duty" consists of one season with eight half-hour episodes.
05:13 If that's not a recipe for a lazy Friday night on your couch, we don't know what is.
05:18 The series is about Ronald Gladden showing up for, you guessed it, jury duty.
05:22 "I humble myself before you. I watched 'Sonic' last night, dude."
05:27 The catch? Unbeknownst to Ronald, everyone else, from the jurors to the bailiff to the judge, is a paid actor.
05:34 From there, the show evolves into an off-kilter romp that really has to be seen for itself.
05:40 "You know, I always said that a man should stand up and take ownership of their mistakes."
05:44 "Like yesterday at the party, when Ross admitted to lying about his wife, Sonya."
05:49 Part meta-comedy, part reality show and part courtroom drama,
05:53 you can rest easy knowing "Jury Duty" never overstays its welcome.
05:57 "I mean, maybe this is common. I don't know. But I feel like this can't be that common."
06:02 "Because just crazy stuff keeps happening."
06:04 #4 Star Trek Strange New Worlds Season 2
06:08 There's nothing strange about it. Star Trek is back and better than ever.
06:12 Taking place a decade before the original series,
06:15 Strange New Worlds brings back Pike, Spock and Number One for some good old-fashioned self-contained adventures.
06:21 "Good to have you back, Number One."
06:22 "Good to be back, Captain."
06:24 That's right, there's no overly complicated ongoing narrative. And that's a good thing.
06:28 In fact, the show's commitment to episodic storytelling is exactly what keeps us coming back for more.
06:34 Each episode is its own mini-movie, with the breathing room to really dig into its themes and conflicts.
06:40 "We must steal the Enterprise."
06:42 Since it's constantly changing its formula too,
06:44 Strange New Worlds is the rare Star Trek show that's tailor-made for back-to-back viewings.
06:49 "The Vulcan works nothing like a Vulcan!"
06:53 [Cheering]
06:55 #3 Beef Season 1
06:58 What starts as a bout of immature road rage transforms into a propulsive dark comedy about love, pettiness and red-stained vengeance.
07:06 "Hi."
07:10 "Hi."
07:12 In a nutshell, that's Beeforia.
07:14 Without giving too much away, the show it starts as is not the one you end with.
07:20 But discovering how it gets from A to Z is half the fun.
07:24 Well, that and the infectious chemistry between lead Steven Yeun and Ali Wong.
07:28 Any time they're on screen together is positively electric.
07:31 "Okay, but only if you apologize for honking at me. You started this."
07:35 "Me?" "Yeah." "Okay."
07:37 Combine that with a story designed to keep you on your toes,
07:40 and it's no surprise that many opted to eat all of Beef in one go.
07:44 "Everything fades. Nothing lasts."
07:50 #2 Only Murders in the Building Season 3
07:53 Throw the pitch away. This cast list should be all the convincing you need.
07:57 In Season 3, Selena Gomez, Martin Short and Steve Martin return as the Arconia's resident murder investigators.
08:04 But this time, they're joined by Paul Rudd and Meryl freakin' Streep.
08:08 And they both chew scenery like there's no tomorrow.
08:11 "Cobra knows a fellow snake when he sees one."
08:14 [Snake hissing]
08:17 That's without even mentioning the season's gruesome murder.
08:20 As per usual, it is twisted, fun and just absurd enough to work.
08:26 Then, whenever the case starts to stall,
08:28 Only Murders drops a cliffhanger guaranteed to leave your jaw on the floor.
08:32 Take notes, everyone.
08:34 This is the prime example of a series that always leaves you craving one more.
08:39 "You can't let death stop you from living, kid."
08:43 Before we unveil our top pick, here are some honorable mentions.
08:47 I think you should leave with Tim Robinson Season 3.
08:50 It's six episodes of unhinged comedic genius. Need we say more?
08:54 "And you're definitely not gonna get this thing."
08:57 [Growling]
08:59 "Cuz I saw that thing."
09:01 Shrinking Season 1
09:03 Come for the star-studded cast, stay for the heartwarming storytelling.
09:07 "Whenever I needed, I put on one of my favorite sad songs and just let myself grieve for 15 straight minutes."
09:13 The Other Two Season 3
09:15 This criminally underrated comedy exits with lots of laughs.
09:19 "So you just didn't watch it?"
09:21 "No, I didn't have two movies in me."
09:23 "Oh, that makes sense."
09:24 Blue Eye Samurai
09:25 This beautifully animated actioner goes by faster than you can say samurai.
09:29 "I love a gun like that."
09:31 "You can tell me who sold it to you."
09:34 Elite Season 7
09:36 Several years in, Elite continues to be the epitome of a captivating teen drama.
09:41 "Hay toda una fiesta, para ti esperandote."

10:00 The Fall of the House of Usher
10:05 Despite being presented in bite-sized installments, this is less of a miniseries and more of an eight-hour horror film.
10:12 As such, it practically demands your attention all the way through.
10:15 "To the lucky Usher who figures out who's talking to the feds. 50 million cash, no strings, no taxes."
10:23 That's true whether you're a fan of the original short story or not.
10:26 In a brilliant creative swing, The Fall of the House of Usher layers in Easter eggs and plot points from Edgar Allan Poe's other famous works.
10:33 "All of this really starts there. In that office."
10:41 Altogether, it turns what could have been an average fright fest into a deeply enthralling saga.
10:46 You may need to watch it through your fingers, but The Fall of the House of Usher won't have you reaching for the remote, that's for sure.
10:53 "I'm sorry. It's not personal. Wasn't with your brother either."
10:59 Which 2023 show did you binge the fastest?
11:03 Let us know in the comments below.
11:04 "It's not what's out there, it's what they want us to think is out there."
11:08 "What's that?"
