This festive season, Manchester favourite Rudy's Pizza Napoletana has launched two new winter special pizzas.
From Friday November 24, the popular pizza joint with sites in Manchester, London, Leeds, Liverpool and more will be serving two festive pizzas throughout Christmas.
Zucca is the Italian word for pumpkin - and as the name suggests - this vegetarian pizza features a pumpkin cream base topped with Fior di latte, goats' cheese, roasted garlic chestnut mushrooms, toasted pumpkin seeds and chilli flakes.
The second is a white pizza topped with fior de latte, Gorgonzola, cured pork cheek, fresh pears, toasted walnuts and fresh thyme.
These two dishes will be served in all Rudy's pizzerias, and we headed down to its Portland Street site to taste test both.

01:15 special, on a new menu. Guanciale with the pear, it's a strong flavour of guanciale and

01:26 it, the flavour is made to say 'wow'. And about the pumpkin one, we are on the end of
01:32 November which is pumpkin everywhere. It's something which you don't get every single
01:40 day, it's something you get in a small period of the year but you're going to enjoy it because
01:46 it's like a seasoned pizza."
01:47 "Ok so I'm here today at Rudy's Pizza on Portland Street which is right next to Piccadilly
01:53 Gardens and so today I'm going to be trying the two Christmas special pizzas they've got.
01:57 One is a pumpkin base and the other one is a white base pizza which has pear on it and
02:04 crushed walnuts. Two very different pizzas, one doesn't have meat on, one does. So two
02:09 Christmas specials, one for vegetarians and one for non-vegetarians and we're going to
02:13 have a little taste of both and see exactly what is going on with the Christmas special

02:23 Both pizzas were certainly unique flavours and unexpectedly my favourite happened to
02:27 be the pumpkin pizza. It was sweet and had a little kick from the chilli flakes and the
02:32 pumpkin seeds added an extra crunch.
02:34 "I don't know what I was expecting but it wasn't this. It's actually really sweet, it's
02:39 really delicious."
02:40 For the pear and pork cheek pizza I was really surprised with the flavour since gorgonzola
02:44 is normally quite a strong cheese. Everything paired really well and it was delicious. I
02:49 ended up finishing half of both right then and there for my lunch.
