01:28 How long did it take you to build that one then?
01:30 [Crowd noise]
01:49 Naturally we had a good range of moving displays from the many model railway
01:54 layouts but there are other alternatives too.
01:58 [Crowd noise]
02:08 These included a range of static displays by modelers of military hardware such as this.

02:26 Right we're at the modelers show here at Ruskington and can I get your name please?
02:32 Hello my name is Jo Kyer and this is my Lego City.
02:36 Ah so how long has it taken you to build all this then?
02:39 So for the big buildings like that one and these ones I started collecting them in 2020 and from then on I've just got one every year.
02:51 So now I'm up to this part. So it started off as a Jurassic World but then it turned into a train station and now it's a city so.
03:01 And have you stopped here or are you going to carry on building?
03:04 No I'm carrying on. I've been invited to some other model shows and I might do something else for those models.
03:12 And how long does it take you to build these then?
03:15 Well normally it takes me, well for my first one I ever built it took me a day to complete but for all the others it's taken me maybe half a day or so.
03:27 Ah so you build very quickly then?
03:29 Yeah I try to dedicate my whole, when I get one I dedicate my whole day to doing it.
03:35 Well after you've done your homework obviously.
03:37 Yes I've got to do my homework.
03:39 And what was the most difficult one to build? Do you do it just off the top of your head or do you follow a plan?
03:46 No these are all Lego sets produced by Lego. Probably the hardest one to build was this one because it's one of the biggest ones ever made for the Lion King set.
03:59 Oh wow. So what's your next goal then? What would you think would be your biggest challenge to build?
04:07 The biggest Lego set challenge for me would probably be the £800, I know it's very expensive, Star Wars AT-AT Walker with around 8,000 pieces. That would really be a challenge and I think I'd really like it.
04:24 So are you going to save up your pocket money for that or ask mum?
04:27 I'm probably going to save up my pocket money for that.
04:30 Oh brilliant. Alright thank you.
04:32 [Music]
05:00 And people could even go for a ride on this model.
