Transcript
00:00 Good evening from a very, very cold Ibrox where it has finished. Rangers 1 Arras Limassol
00:07 1 in the Europa League. A strange evening here in Govan because although Rangers have
00:13 secured European football beyond Christmas, we don't know yet if it's going to be the
00:19 Europa League or the Europa Conference League and that's because they failed to take care
00:23 of their visitors here. A one-all draw in the end. Arras took the lead for a good goal
00:27 from Shefi Babika. Rangers, who are very poor throughout, did get an equaliser five minutes
00:32 in the second half through substitute Ross McCausland to make it one-all. At that point
00:37 you thought they might go and kick on and get the victory but in the end it was a really
00:40 stodgy, sluggish performance from Philippe Clément's team. He'll be very disappointed
00:44 with how his players performed on the night and because Sparta Prague got a surprise one-all,
00:51 one-nil win against Real Betis in the Czech capital, they can now take advantage of Rangers
00:57 slipping up in Seville on the final matchday in two weeks' time by beating Arras. If that
01:02 was to happen, if Prague do win against Arras, then Rangers would need to win against Betis
01:07 to secure a top spot and also get through into the final stages of the Europa League.
01:13 It was definitely a hugely frustrating night for Rangers. We've had so many underwhelming
01:19 performances. James Tavernier extremely poor at the right back. They missed Conor Gouldson
01:23 at centre-half along with Leon Balotelli in attack. They were very weak. Lots to ponder
01:28 for Philippe Clément and have a unique match against Seville and it means that their match
01:32 against Betis, three days before the cup final against Aberdeen, now takes on Arras in the
01:37 final. It finished here at five blocks. Rangers won, Arras won.
