00:00 Nice to see you again. We need to stop meeting like this. It's all so glamorous. I love how
00:04 you've got your coat on, keeping warm. You look beautiful, by the way.
00:07 Thank you.
00:08 Absolutely stunning. You are amazing in this.
00:11 Thank you.
00:12 I know it's probably impossible to sum up, but what has it been like taking on this role?
00:16 Because it's massive, right?
00:17 Yeah, I mean it's quite a big deal, as you quite rightly say. But, you know, I'm in the
00:22 game for challenges and you want a big deal. You don't want a job to be easy. You want
00:27 characters to be complex and a stretch and different to what you've done the previous
00:33 job. And Margaret is, you know, we all know what Margaret was like and I'm getting to
00:39 play her in a sadder time of her life and a reflective time.
00:45 And what was that like? Because obviously you're playing her at the end of her life,
00:49 essentially. What was that like? Was that quite tough at times?
00:52 Yeah, it is. Especially because she died, you know, she had a series of strokes and
00:58 it wasn't pleasant and she was really losing her sense of herself. You know, she was such
01:06 a great beauty when she was younger and then she was in a wheelchair with puffed up on
01:13 steroids and burnt her ankles. You know, she was in a right old state and she hated it
01:21 because she was very defined by her looks. And yeah, I understand that. So it's interesting
01:29 to play.
01:30 And obviously the show is coming to an end now. How does it feel to be part of this massive
01:34 family because there's so many people that have played different characters throughout
01:37 the seasons, right?
01:38 Yes, well, very unique because that's not been done before, as far as I'm aware, to
01:45 have three different sets of actors playing all of these characters. Yeah, I mean, I feel
01:51 that I've definitely been involved in one of the most epic pieces of drama and I'm very,
01:59 I am genuinely very proud of it. The people I've worked with on this have been quite phenomenal
02:08 in every department and you don't always get that. So it's been quite a special experience.
02:17 But you know, those things, you don't always arrive at those feelings immediately. You
02:23 have to stop and then reflect and then you can maybe see how it lands. But it's always
02:30 going to be good memories.
02:32 Listen, you are amazing. I'm hoping you do get the chance to stop and when it lands you
02:36 get to digest it because you were phenomenal. It's always such a pleasure to see you. Thank
02:39 you for stopping.
02:40 Thank you so much.
02:41 See you.
