00:00 12 o'clock tomorrow.
00:01 And West Ham lost to Pexen Heijst in the summer,
00:07 a similar loss, I guess, to Harry Kidd,
00:09 who's the captain and Tavi's men,
00:11 but both clubs seem to be enjoying a revival
00:15 and they've done well in the last season.
00:18 Do you see any parallels in the other club, Delft,
00:20 and is there maybe a lesson there that clubs shouldn't fear?
00:24 Yeah, to a certain extent, but I'm sure if you ask David
00:28 and definitely ask me, we'd both prefer that they were both here.
00:31 But it doesn't, like you said, it also offers you an opportunity,
00:36 I guess, an opportunity to say, well, OK, we're losing a great player.
00:40 How do we now use that opportunity to try and make us a better side?
00:45 And that's the way you have to look at it.
00:48 And I think you're right with West Ham.
00:49 They've certainly brought in some quality
00:52 because Declan was an amazing player for them and an influence for them.
00:58 So there is an opportunity there, but you have to take that opportunity.
01:02 You know, it's not as easy as just saying, well, just let your best player
01:05 walk out the door and everything will be great.
01:07 No, let your best player go, you better make sure that you've got a plan.
01:10 And yeah, fair to say that we're not there yet,
01:14 but we're kind of hoping that over time
01:18 we'll have the opportunity of losing such a great player.
01:23 We'll use it in the right way to make us a better team.
01:25 And I'm sure David's trying to do the same with West Ham.
01:54 No, I don't think so, because
01:56 you're at the Shacktar game, you know, he did all right.
02:01 So I don't think our style of football would have been hampered by having Harry there.
02:07 You know, and I think that's selling Harry short a little bit as well.
02:10 You know, that he's, you know, somehow the team has to play to him.
02:13 You know, I think he's
02:14 and I think his game's evolved over time where he could play
02:19 a lot of different ways in different systems, you know, but that sort of final
02:23 third stuff has always been there, the quality.
02:24 So, no, I don't see it that way.
02:28 I think if Harry stayed, you know,
02:30 I don't think it would have changed my approach or how we set up the team.
02:35 And, you know, I think from my perspective,
02:38 it would have been great if we kept him.
02:40 But I kind of knew from day one that he wasn't going to be here.
02:43 So then we started building other things into it.
02:46 But, you know, I really,
02:49 you know, I think the way we play
02:52 just requires footballers who, you know, have a willingness
02:57 to sort of buy into a real team ethos
03:01 in the way you play your football.
03:02 And I think Harry has that.
03:04 And to close, just to ask a final one, going back to Sonny.
03:07 Again, City have built some of this build-up play.
03:10 The way you kind of switch the ball at times is almost a bit Harry X.
03:15 Obviously, his goalscoring has been great.
03:17 But do you think he still will bring to ground that sort of football ground
03:20 and that particular side to the game?
03:23 Yeah, I think he has it in him anyway.
03:26 I mean, I watch him again.
03:28 Obviously, I've watched him a lot for Korea,
03:29 and he tends to play a little bit more South Korea in a central role for them.
03:33 And I think he has that technical ability.
03:36 But it's different in the Premier League.
03:38 And I think he's with every game, I think he's getting a better
03:40 and better understanding of how he can be involved in the link-up play,
03:44 not just sort of the final third stuff.
03:46 And you're right, I think it helped us last week, especially
03:49 some of these link-up play, the ability for us to sort of get out of pressure.
03:53 Having him drop deep, receive it and turn is very helpful
03:58 and just adds another sort of bow to what we're doing.
04:00 But, you know, he's all the players, I think, are in that phase of just
04:04 every game, hopefully understanding a little bit more about what they can do
04:09 and bring a little bit more of themselves, because, you know,
04:12 a lot of the stuff we do at the beginning is very prescriptive
04:15 and the players want to sort of follow direction.
04:17 And that can sometimes be stifling, but you have to go through that process
04:23 to then be able to free them up.
04:24 And like I said, that front third is still the area where,
04:27 you know, I still think we're just really at the infancy of,
04:33 you know, I just see so much more growth for us in that area.
04:35 OK, thanks, guys. Thanks, guys.
04:37 >> Thank you. >> Thanks, guys.
