00:00 "Billy, I don't think that's Zordon!"
00:03 Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the dumbest, most boneheaded choices
00:09 made by the multicolored teens with attitude and their allies.
00:13 If you've never seen these smooth-brained decisions, expect spoilers ahead.
00:17 "Humans do not deserve to have the wild Zords fight for you. You are not worthy."
00:24 Number 10. Leaving the team over a silly secret. Power Rangers Super Samurai.
00:30 "I always knew this day would come. You are now the Red Ranger."
00:35 Throughout the Samurai seasons, Jaden had been plagued with keeping a dark secret from his teammates.
00:41 That secret being that his sister Lauren was the true Red Ranger.
00:45 The minute his big secret is revealed, he decides he must leave the team.
00:50 "You all need to follow Lauren now."
00:52 "She's the new Red Ranger, and your leader."
00:59 Except no one was really bothered by this secret aside from him.
01:03 He didn't have to keep it from them, he just chose to for reasons that aren't exactly clear.
01:08 Then he claims leaving is for the good of the team, but all it really does is ostracize his sister and hurt his friends.
01:16 "Things always seem better after a good meal. You really need to be alone."
01:20 "Fine. Be alone."
01:23 While you can admire the team's loyalty to Jaden, poor Lauren was alienated from everyone.
01:28 All because Jaden made a big deal out of nothing.
01:32 Number 9. Believing Lothor. Power Rangers Ninja Storm.
01:37 "Why are you doing this?" "Simple. Revenge."
01:40 The Thunder Rangers were undeniably two of the Wind Rangers' biggest challenges.
01:44 But how did the two Rangers become servants to the evil Lothor?
01:48 Normally, a Ranger has to be brainwashed to join the forces of evil.
01:53 But the only reason Blake and Hunter joined Lothor was their own youthful gullibility.
01:58 "Your sensei destroyed our parents." "Yeah."
02:04 "And now it's payback time."
02:06 Lothor attacked the brothers' school and tricked them into thinking that the Wind Rangers' sensei killed their parents.
02:11 When really, to no one's surprise, it was Lothor all along.
02:16 It's shocking that anyone could fall for one of Lothor's lies.
02:19 Especially after he laid waste to their school.
02:23 Lothor isn't exactly the king of subtlety, boys.
02:26 "You gotta understand, Hunter's a good person."
02:29 "But if he believes someone's wronged him, he won't stop until he makes it right."
02:33 "Okay, we get that. But why is he taking it out on us?"
02:36 Number 8. Trent lying to his teammates. Power Rangers Dino Thunder.
02:41 "Is it so wrong for a kid to come visit his father at his work every once in a while?"
02:44 "Is that supposed to be amusing?"
02:46 After being controlled by the White Dino Gems' corrupted influence,
02:50 Trent is finally free to fight alongside the Rangers instead of against them.
02:55 Unfortunately, even after earning their trust, he still chose to keep one major secret from them.
03:02 That his adoptive father is Mezagog.
03:05 On the one hand, we sympathize with the awkward position he was put in while trying to protect his father and prove himself as a Ranger.
03:12 "This is your big secret? You knew this all along?"
03:15 "He's my father. How could I tell you?"
03:18 On the other hand, Trent had to jump through hoops to redeem himself to the others
03:23 and didn't trust them enough with this secret when they could have helped.
03:26 Thankfully, Trent was able to make amends with the others, but it just goes to show how fragile trust can be.
03:33 "Thank you. I won't let you down."
03:35 "I hope not."
03:36 Number 7. Destroying the Dark Energem. Power Rangers Dino Supercharge.
03:42 "Wait. Keeper, you said that the Dark Energem was made from pure darkness, right?"
03:47 "Yes, the essence of evil."
03:49 "So, does that mean that light can destroy that darkness?"
03:52 In the Dino Supercharge season finale, the Earth is trapped,
03:56 and the only way to save it is to put an end to the Dark Energem once and for all.
04:01 Their plan succeeds, but it has horrific consequences.
04:05 It creates a black hole that ultimately destroys the Earth.
04:09 "The Earth is being sucked into the black hole!"
04:12 "No! This can't be happening!"
04:14 That is already infuriating to watch, but somehow it only gets dumber from here.
04:20 Their solution to fix all this, travel back in time,
04:23 which creates a space-time paradox that results in the dinosaurs no longer being extinct.
04:29 No, we're not kidding.
04:32 "Sledge's asteroids never hit Earth, so the dinosaurs..."
04:37 "What?"
04:39 "They never went extinct!"
04:42 We're not surprised fans weren't very kind to this season finale,
04:46 as the whole concept wasn't the brightest decision on the writers' part.
04:50 Number 6. Creating the Sporix, Power Rangers, Dino Fury.
04:55 With the Sporix on the loose, Zato is determined to put an end to their threat.
04:59 Unfortunately, this is mostly out of guilt.
05:02 Millions of years ago, Zato's people, the Rathconians,
05:05 created the Sporix as a means of defending themselves against evil.
05:09 "Zato isn't the great leader you think he is. What are you talking about?"
05:14 Zato's closest friend, Aion, warned him that the Sporix were dangerous, but Zato didn't listen.
05:20 Instead, he allowed the Sporix to be unleashed,
05:23 and they devastated Rathcon before setting their sights on Earth.
05:27 "You could have stopped the Sporix beast from ever existing, and you didn't tell us?"
05:33 While he had no part in their creation,
05:35 Zato's poor judgment allowed a deadly menace to cause chaos across the universe,
05:40 and nearly ruined one of his closest friendships.
05:44 Fortunately, Zato has a whole team behind him to help right these wrongs.
05:49 "You should lead the team, not me."
05:52 "Of course."
05:55 Number 5. Project Fengex, Power Rangers, RPM.
06:00 "It's a self-aware, self-generating computer virus. Meet Project Fengex."
06:05 Having been trapped in the corrupt Alphabet Soup facility since she was young,
06:11 Dr. K was desperate to escape.
06:14 Her ultimate escape plan? Project Fengex, a self-aware computer virus.
06:19 She only meant to use it to take down the facility,
06:22 but Fengex ended up spreading across the globe,
06:25 eventually enslaving the entire world.
06:28 "No! I just wanted to go outside! No! Please! It could infect the entire world!"
06:34 While it's easy to blame Dr. K for creating Fengex,
06:38 she wouldn't have done any of this if Alphabet Soup hadn't robbed her of her childhood.
06:43 At least she went out of her way to try to fix her mistake.
06:46 Sadly, history would repeat years later in Beast Morphers,
06:50 when Nate's tampering evolved Fengex into Evox.
06:53 "I was Fengex!"
06:57 Number 4. Trying to revive Zordon.
07:00 Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, once and always.
07:03 "Billy's trying to bring him back. He didn't know this would happen."
07:07 Zordon sacrificed himself to save the entire universe from the forces of evil.
07:12 But in the 30th anniversary special, "Once and Always,"
07:15 Billy thinks he's found a way to revive his deceased mentor.
07:19 "Zordon! Zordon, are you here?"
07:24 Unfortunately, his plan backfires, and instead brings Rita Repulsa back from the dead.
07:30 And she's not pulling any punches this time,
07:33 as she effortlessly kills Trini with one insidious spell.
07:37 The worst part of all this, in the end,
07:40 Billy hints that he might try to revive Zordon again,
07:43 even though his first attempt got one of his dearest friends murdered.
07:47 "The Morphin' Grid is a pathway to infinite possibilities.
07:51 Maybe I shouldn't give up on Zordon."
07:53 While his intentions were true,
07:55 sometimes you just need to know when enough is enough,
07:58 especially when the risks are too high.
08:01 Number 3. Testing the Rangers.
08:04 Power Rangers, Wild Force.
08:06 It turns out that the Rangers' new human friend, Kite,
08:09 was really the ancient, godlike Megazord, Animus.
08:13 And he is not pleased with how humanity has been treating the Earth.
08:16 "I'm taking the Wild Zords away from you. You will have to fight without them."
08:22 "Animus, no!"
08:23 He takes his anger out on the Rangers by taking their Wild Zords away.
08:28 Overreacting much?
08:30 Actually, it turns out this was all a test to prove the Rangers' devotion to protecting the Earth.
08:35 Except the Rangers have shown time and time again how dedicated they were to the cause.
08:41 "Did you see that, Mandelok?"
08:43 "That is the true soul of humanity!"
08:45 So really, Animus threw this fake temper tantrum
08:49 and inconvenienced our heroes for no other reason
08:52 than to show what an almighty jerk he truly is.
08:55 Some lessons really aren't worth learning.
08:58 "I took the Wild Zords from you as a test."
09:02 "I wanted to see if you were truly dedicated to protecting the Earth."
09:07 Number 2. Taking Antonio's Morpher away.
09:10 Power Rangers, Samurai.
09:12 "Antonio's late. Can't say I'm surprised."
09:16 Even though he wasn't born into the Samurai lifestyle like the other Rangers,
09:21 Antonio was passionate about joining them as the Gold Ranger.
09:25 And yet, at first, Mentor G just callously says Antonio isn't ready
09:31 and takes his Morpher away.
09:33 "Antonio, I'll hold on to this, okay?"
09:37 "No! Give it back!"
09:38 "Antonio, stop!"
09:39 And what's G's so-called wisdom for why Antonio can't join them?
09:43 Because he wasn't formally trained as a Samurai.
09:47 Never mind that he trained himself as a warrior, programmed his own Morpher,
09:52 and wiped the floor with a nyloc on his first day on the job.
09:56 He's totally a liability.
09:58 Except, no, he's not.
10:00 "One nyloc down!"
10:02 Thankfully, Antonio's welcomed on the team in the end.
10:05 But is it any wonder G's considered one of the worst Mentors?

10:24 Number 1. Taking magic for granted. Power Rangers, Mystic Force.
10:30 "This is the lot."
10:32 "Isn't magic grand?"
10:35 "Yeah!"
10:36 While the Mystic Force Rangers have gotten better at using their magic,
10:40 they've become lazy and overly dependent on it to the point that they'd rather use magical shortcuts than actually fight.
10:47 Unfortunately, this over-reliance backfires in a major way
10:52 when one of their shortcuts allows the Morlocks to turn the world into a colorless nightmare.
10:57 "It's like the world has turned pure evil. I have never seen anything like this."
11:03 Darkness rules all. The good magic is wiped out, but the Rangers retain their memories of before the dark wish.
11:10 In a twisted way, it's a fitting punishment seeing as this wouldn't have happened if the Rangers didn't take their magic for granted.
11:17 That's arguably worse than losing a fight.
11:20 Living with the knowledge that your own laziness cost you everything you held dear.
11:25 "I can't believe it's over."
11:27 What do you think was the Rangers' dumbest move? Let us know in the comments.
11:31 "How can we ever defeat the Orcs without our Zords?"
11:34 "That is your problem, not ours."
