00:00 On November 30th, 2021 is a day that has forever changed my life.
00:06 It burns into my body like a cigarette burn.
00:10 Enough to scar, but always a constant reminder.
00:14 The day I found out that my daughter's life was taken.
00:18 A life that was still so young and full of life.
00:23 After that day, she became a statistic, a victim, a planned act of tragedy.
00:31 To the waste that took my daughter's life, that name will never come out of my mouth.
00:38 That life will cease to exist to me and just like trash, it will be forgotten.
00:44 So while the attention that he has been seeking for this horrendous crime, you will get no
00:50 reaction from me.
00:52 But again, this is the life he chose.
00:56 If he really wanted to make a different outcome, he wouldn't continue to make the excuses he
01:01 does now.
01:03 The suffering will come when he least expects it.
01:07 The regret will consume you as you sit alone with the only voices in your head.
01:14 Guilt would eat away at your soul.
01:16 This might not happen tomorrow, next year, or ten years, but it will happen.
01:22 As you get older, you will realize the path you've chosen and it will haunt you.
01:27 I remember hearing a squish sound against my right ear.
01:31 And it was the sound of carpet mixed with blood going into my ear.
01:38 I started yelling for help, but when I say yelling, I mean a shout that was loud enough
01:44 for someone around me to hear, yet quiet enough for the shooter not to hear me.
01:51 No one ever came, but I did hear something.
01:58 I reached my hand over my head and I realized it was Hannah.
02:04 I could hear her groaning beside me.
02:10 Realizing that I wasn't alone, I kept trying to reassure her.
02:14 "Someone will come help us.
02:17 Don't worry.
02:18 Just keep breathing.
02:19 Just please stay with me."
02:21 I said that to her a thousand times.
02:24 At one point, a SWAT team member came running past us.
02:31 He was the first person I had seen.
02:35 I pleaded to him, "Please help us."
02:39 He did a double take and said, "Someone will come back for you."
02:45 Hannah and I were left in utter loneliness.
02:49 I thought I was dying.
02:52 I kept repeating my mom's phone number to make sure my brain was functioning.
02:57 I was creating math problems in my head and solving them to make sure I wasn't dying.
03:03 I continued to yell for help.
03:08 Fifteen minutes of laying there absolutely helpless.
03:14 Fifteen minutes of lying in a pool of my own blood.
03:18 Fifteen minutes of hearing Hannah St. Juliana's last sounds while stroking her hair and trying
03:24 to encourage her.
03:26 With that, the court having read the PSI and being fully familiar with the defendant and
03:31 the underlying facts of this case, believes that it is in the best interest of justice
