00:32 - This is the Wild Atlantic Way in the northwest of Ireland,
00:39 home to one of the toughest ultra endurance races.
00:43 - There are only about a hundred people
00:46 who have a solo winner's medal.
00:50 - It's a 555 kilometer race against the clock
00:53 with over 6,000 meters of climbing.

01:20 - I really started to suffer, cold time to get to me.
01:23 - And the most grueling stage of the race,
01:25 riding into the night.
01:27 - This is when the demons will invade.
01:29 - Things got pretty serious, I was genuinely scared.
