Eric Eisenberg's interview with Alexander Skarsgård, Mia Goth

00:00 I want to ask actually about the two just intense hallucinogenic
00:05 sequent montage sequences in this film, specifically the cloning
00:09 procedure and the Echigate smoking.
00:11 It's such a visceral experience watching it in the movie.
00:16 I'm curious how Brandon Cronenberg went about creating a certain
00:19 atmosphere that matched it on set.
00:21 If you did, it's very, when you shooting those sequences are,
00:26 it's kind of boring because they're very technical on.
00:29 And they, I love those in the movie and with the music and they're
00:33 so kind of it evokes something quite interesting in you.
00:36 Shooting it is definitely less, I wouldn't say romantic, but less
00:44 tantalizing.
00:45 It's kind of, it's technical, but it's also, those days were super
00:49 fun on set because Brandon and Kareem Hussain, his DP, they worked
00:54 together for many, many years.
00:55 They are like little kids playing with Lego on set because they
00:58 played around with so many different shots, different filters,
01:03 different liquids and weird mirrors and boxes that they wanted us
01:08 to step into because they would shoot it.
01:10 And it was very creative and innovative and tactile because it was
01:15 all done on set, in camera, as opposed to in post with CGI.
01:19 So, I was very excited about shooting those sequences.
