00:00 Malaysia needs to revive the old project with Singapore,
00:05 the Singapore-Kuala Lumpur High Speed Railway,
00:08 the title of Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar.
00:11 In conversation with The Sunday Times Singapore,
00:14 Sultan Ibrahim hopes the project will be re-launched
00:18 to cross the Forest City,
00:20 the controversial land development in Selat Johor,
00:22 which consists of four islands,
00:24 30 km wide.
00:27 Sultan Ibrahim will be inaugurated as the 17th President
00:31 on 31 January to replace Sultan Abdungah Sultan Ahmad Shah.
00:37 In addition, the HSR project can be funded
00:41 through private financial initiatives
00:43 where the government pays contractors
00:45 to manage the route for a 30-year rental period.
