00:23 and most awarded multimedia network in the Philippines,

00:26 was met under the leadership of GMA Chairman and CEO,

00:30 Atty. Philippe L. Gozon.

00:32 In his 84 days in office,

00:35 his family, friends, and colleagues joined him.

00:39 The high-ranking government officials and GMA stars also joined him.

00:44 Here, Gozon announced that

00:46 after more than two decades,

00:48 he will retire as the Chief Executive Officer of the GMA Network.

00:52 The GMA Board of Directors

00:54 has approved my retirement

00:58 as Chief Executive Officer

01:01 effective December 31, 2023.

01:07 But I will still continue

01:10 as Chairman Advisor

01:13 and Chairman of the Programming Committee.

01:17 Yes, as the CEO of Kapuso Network,

01:20 the current GMA President and Chief Operating Officer,

01:23 Gilberto R. Duavit Jr.,

01:25 the eldest son of one of the founders of GMA,

01:29 Gilberto M. Duavit Sr.

01:31 The Board also approved

01:33 my recommendation

01:35 to elect Mr. Gilberto R. Duavit Jr.

01:40 as the new Chief Executive Officer

01:46 to replace me effective January 1, 2024.

01:53 President-CEO.

01:55 And he will continue

01:58 to act as Vice Chairman

02:01 of the Program Committee.

02:04 Duavit is now the Chairman of the Executive Committee,

02:07 Chairman of the Board of GMA Network Films,

02:10 and also the official of some subsidiaries of GMA Network.

02:14 President and also a trustee of GMA Kapuso Foundation, Inc.

02:18 Executive Committee Chairman, Joel Marcelo G. Jimenez,

02:22 the son of one of the founders of GMA,

02:25 Leonardo R. Jimenez.

02:27 At the recommendation of Mr. Jimmy Duavit,

02:36 has elected Mr. Joel Marcelo Jimenez.

02:52 who resides as Chairman of the EXCOMM,

03:02 Jimenez is President and CEO of Menarco Holdings

03:09 He is the Director of RGMA Network, Inc.,

03:12 Executive Committee Chairman and Director of GMA New Media, Inc.,

03:16 and other subsidiaries of GMA Network.

03:26 GMA Network has provided the public

03:35 and innovative entertainment and public affairs programs
