00:00 Hello, I'm Cathy Durant and I'm representing the Save West Fifield campaign.
00:05 We're here at the Horsham District Council offices this evening to ask Horsham District Councils not to vote yes to approve the new local plan.
00:13 We believe that the plan is flawed. We believe it's been rushed. We believe that it doesn't contain the necessary mitigations to solve all the issues that are going to be caused by the overdevelopment in this area.
00:24 The housing targets are too high. The houses don't meet the needs of local people. There isn't the traffic or health infrastructure to support the amount of extra population that will come into this area.
00:36 So please Horsham District Councillors, do say no to the local plan tonight.
