Killers of the Flower Moon Movie - Directed by Martin Scorsese - Behind the scenes - Step on set with Martin Scorsese to see how a key scene from Killers of the Flower Moon comes together.

At the turn of the 20th century, oil brought a fortune to the Osage Nation, who became some of the richest people in the world overnight. The wealth of these Native Americans immediately attracted white interlopers, who manipulated, extorted, and stole as much Osage money as they could before resorting to murder. Based on a true story and told through the improbable romance of Ernest Burkhart (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Mollie Kyle (Lily Gladstone), “Killers of the Flower Moon” is an epic western crime saga, where real love crosses paths with unspeakable betrayal. Also starring Robert De Niro, Jesse Plemons, John Lithgow, Brendan Fraser, Tantoo Cardinal, Cara Jade Myers, JaNae Collins, and Jillian Dion, Killers of the Flower Moon is directed by Academy Award winner Martin Scorsese from a screenplay by Eric Roth and Scorsese, based on David Grann’s best-selling book.

Hailing from Apple Studios, Killers of the Flower Moon was produced alongside Imperative Entertainment, Sikelia Productions and Appian Way. Producers are Scorsese, Dan Friedkin, Bradley Thomas and Daniel Lupi, with DiCaprio, Rick Yorn, Adam Somner, Marianne Bower, Lisa Frechette, John Atwood, Shea Kammer and Niels Juul serving as executive producers.

00:30 (men cheering)
00:39 - Let's go to that other take, the previous take,
00:52 'cause that was perfect.
00:53 - Can we go to take two,
00:53 where they come right to the park?
00:56 (engine rumbling)
00:59 - See that play, his hand,
01:06 somehow the camera was from the right.
01:08 - Yeah, maybe it was that we got to our mark
01:11 a little sooner this time, we couldn't get there
01:14 a big later.
01:16 - You see his hand between the seats.
01:17 - Yeah.
01:18 - I'll pop with my hand up higher, it'll help too, right?
01:21 - I think it will, it's really, we get the idea,
01:25 we don't, it doesn't register, she doesn't register,
01:28 that she's not taking, she's not registering,
01:31 but in the previous take that we just showed you,
01:33 - Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:34 - She did register.
01:35 - But I also think it's that company,
01:38 that's why I'm a little--
01:39 - Okay, all right, okay, well,
01:40 from that, that's, okay, that's fantastic.
01:43 - Great.
01:44 - And we don't wanna go over there, but that's good.
01:48 That's good, that's real good, that's good.
01:53 - Now, when Kelsey comes in,
01:56 I, could we run that back just a little, I wanna see.
02:02 - We'll go back a little bit, back, back, back,
02:04 right before Kelsey.
02:05 - And when you, when you, hey, I got money on this,
02:10 really, oh my God, I got money on that, really,
02:13 - Okay, go ahead.
02:14 - Go after her, 'cause it just becomes,
02:16 hey, I got money on that, and it runs really well.
02:17 - Okay.
02:18 - Good, all right, okay.
02:20 - I'm trying to ignore her, but I might be (beep)
02:22 up on my own time, so I should just be staring straight
02:25 at her, and then, when she arrives,
02:28 and she's in the clear, then I go.
02:30 - Right, yeah, but look at the run.
02:32 So, if you find her, that could all be good.
02:35 - Yeah.
02:36 (chattering)
02:38, yeah, we'd still be the same, I think,
02:43 would be me, like, where Kathy is, would be me hanging out,
02:59 and then walking across the street alone, and then,
03:02 let's see, like, walking by with Kathy, right?
03:05 - Yeah.
03:06 - Just like, walking up to Kathy, like, okay,
03:08 so let's do the other one from here,
03:10 and we'll get used to the timing on it,
03:12 and then do a slightly different approach.
03:14 (chattering)
03:16 - So, there's so many guys who are sitting outside
03:23 all the time, you know?
