00:00 You've got rats, you've got squirrels in the storage facility where the food is.
00:06 Todd Chrisley is detailing his shocking experience behind bars.
00:11 There was a photograph taken of me while I was sleeping and sent to my daughter,
00:15 asking for $2,600 a month for my protection.
00:19 The Chrisley Knows Best star, who shares kids Savannah, Chase and Grayson with wife Julie Chrisley,
00:25 alleges mistreatment and extortion during an interview through his lawyer for News Nation's Cuomo.
00:32 Todd is currently serving a prison sentence for fraud and tax evasion at federal prison camp in Pensacola, Florida.
00:38 What about the food, Todd? Savannah has talked about the food. Is it unsafe?
00:46 It is so disgustingly filthy. The food is literally, I'm not exaggerating,
00:52 the food is dated, it's out of date by at minimum a year.
00:57 It's a year past expiration and they are literally starving these men to death here.
01:02 These men are getting, I don't know that they're getting a thousand calories a day.
01:07 While Todd says he's able to get most of his meals through commissary,
01:11 the 54-year-old claims there are no guarantees.
01:14 One of the warden's ways of kind of, I've been told this by a staff member,
01:20 one of the ways he's trying to break me is by cutting down what you can buy in commissary.
01:27 So before she came here, you could buy 12 packs in a week.
01:31 She cut it down to six and it went from six to three.
01:34 She is not giving a reason. She says, when I asked her about it, she says commissary is a privilege, not a right.
01:40 As for the conditions he alleges he and the other prisoners are facing.
01:44 You've got rats, you've got squirrels in the storage facility where the food is.
01:51 They just covered it up with plastic and tore the ceiling out because of all the black mold
01:56 and found a dead cat in the ceiling that dropped down on the top of the food.
02:01 My gosh.
02:02 Today reached out to federal prison camp Pensacola, but did not receive comment.
02:07 However, News Nation reports officials told them the food served is nutritious
02:11 and the facility is up to date. Julie, who is convicted of the same charges,
02:16 is serving her time at Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
