00:00 Sporting military buzz cuts, the final four members of the seven-member supergroup BTS
00:05 began their conscription in the South Korean military earlier this week, joining three
00:10 other members in the country's mandatory military service.
00:13 Fans waited to catch a last glimpse of group leader RM and vocalists V, Jimin and Jungkook
00:18 outside training centers.
00:20 BTS fans, also known as ARMY, say they'll miss the group but are lucky to have their
00:25 10-year catalogue of music to comfort them for the next two years.
00:29 "I was a little emotional and depressed, so I thought I shouldn't come out.
00:35 But when I came out and thought about it in the morning, I saw that they had left a few
00:41 more comments, so I thought I should cheer up and wait."
00:46 "In the meantime, we'll just keep watching their content.
00:49 And I mean, right now, I'm in Seoul, I'm in Korea, which I didn't think would happen.
00:55 So yeah, no, just all the love and support to them."
00:58 Eldest member Jin was the first to enter the military in December last year, with rappers
01:03 J-Hope and Suga joining earlier this year.
01:06 Under South Korean law, all men between the ages of 18 to 28 must serve an 18-month military
01:11 service to supplement its defenses against North Korea, which the country is still technically
01:16 at war with.
01:17 "ARMY, we love you!"
01:20 The group will reunite in 2025.
01:22 Until then, fans will have their fellow ARMY for support as they wait for their boys to
01:26 return.
01:27 This is Andy Hsieh and Tiffany Wong for Taiwan Plus.
