00:00 you made a decision about your future?
00:02 >> I am playing in the bowl game.
00:03 That's one thing that's for sure.
00:04 I think it's important to end off the season on the right note,
00:08 with a win against a really good team.
00:10 And I'm excited to have another chance to be on the field with my brothers.
00:14 As of my future, I'm totally undecided, so.
00:17 >> Megan, what was it about this game that's important to you to play in,
00:22 no matter what you decide to do afterwards?
00:25 >> I feel like every chance you get to step on the field is something you
00:28 shouldn't take for granted.
00:30 Playing football, we're blessed to be able to do so.
00:31 You never know when an injury might come or
00:33 your opportunities to play with some of your best friends might run out.
00:37 So just getting the opportunity to go down to a great venue in Dallas and
00:41 play against an opponent that's really good is a blessing in itself.
00:44 So it's something I didn't wanna pass up.
00:46 It's just another opportunity to showcase my abilities.
00:48 >> What's the mood of the team been like as you guys have started preparing for
00:51 a Cotton Bowl?
00:52 >> We've been really focused.
00:54 We know they're a good team.
00:55 [COUGH] And we've been locked in, we've been moving forward.
01:00 I can't really say too much, yeah.
01:04 Looking forward to the game.
01:05 >> Mecca, as far as that other decision,
01:07 what are kind of the biggest factors that are still, you're weighing there,
01:10 like each side of it, I guess.
01:12 What's still out there that you're trying to decide between?
01:15 >> Yeah, I mean, there's a ton of factors that go into it.
01:19 As far as the things I'm deciding between, that's something that I've kind of just
01:24 been working through with my corner, my family, and all that type of stuff.
01:28 Stuff that I don't necessarily wanna get into right now, but
01:31 there's positives on both sides.
01:33 There's negatives on both sides as well.
01:34 So it's definitely a decision that is gonna be important.
01:38 But it's nothing that the people here at Ohio State won't help me with.
01:43 >> Did you think you would get to this point and
01:45 have a more definite decision as you kind of envisioned coming into this year?
01:49 And did the fact that you encountered an injury and
01:51 things like that, did that complicate this for you?
01:54 >> I mean, that's unfortunate, to say the least.
01:56 But ultimately, I put my trust in something that's above me, and
02:00 that's Jesus Christ.
02:02 I believe his plan is sovereign, and his plan's perfect, and
02:04 his will is always gonna come to fruition.
02:06 So my injury is something that was ordained, and
02:09 it's something that later down the line I'll be able to see the reason for.
02:14 I feel like the lessons you get from tribulations that you face,
02:17 you might not always get them right away.
02:18 But once you recognize them, you realize what a blessing it was.
02:23 >> I wonder what your thoughts are on Kyle and his friend from Portland,
02:27 playing presumably with Devon Brown at the Cotton Bowl and possibly Lincoln.
02:32 >> Yeah, Kyle's one of my best friends, so in that regard,
02:37 it kind of hurts to see him go.
02:38 But on the other side, I'm so excited for him.
02:41 I mean, he's gonna have an amazing future.
02:44 He's a competitor.
02:45 Wherever he goes, he's gonna make a direct impact.
02:47 So I couldn't be more happy for him, more excited for him for the step forward.
02:52 Unfortunately, he won't be able to play with me.
02:55 So that kind of sucks.
02:58 He's one of my best friends.
02:59 I think he's a great quarterback.
03:00 But I'm just super excited for him.
03:02 And as far as Devon goes, we always knew he's been ready.
03:07 Even when Kyle was injured or something like that, if Devon had to come in,
03:12 we knew he was gonna get the job done.
03:13 So it's no different with the Cotton Bowl.
03:15 And Lincoln is a young guy who has a lot of experience, or
03:18 not a lot of experience, but a lot of talent.
03:21 And once he combines experience with that and
03:23 he starts to learn the game a little more, he's gonna be something really special too.
