00:00 you've seen about morning sickness. Yes. So great news for pregnant women in the
00:03 future. Because a lot of people sort of, a lot of women suffer from morning
00:06 sickness to varying degrees don't they? But some people have it in a really
00:10 debilitating way that means it impacts them. It's miserable anyway in the first 16 weeks of
00:13 pregnancy but some women have to be hospitalized because they get
00:16 dehydrated, they get malnourished and this can potentially affect the baby as
00:20 well. So they've now identified what causes it which is a protein called GDF15
00:25 and this is produced by the unborn baby and women who have a low threshold for
00:30 this generally before they're pregnant are much more sensitive to this hormone.
00:34 So this raises the prospect of a cure in that they might be able to block this
00:38 hormone or reduce it in some way or sensitize a woman before she's pregnant
00:43 so it so that she doesn't get sick during the pregnancy itself. So hope for
