00:23 HBO and David made the announcement on Thursday. The 12th and final season of
00:27 Curb Your Enthusiasm will premiere on February 4. David said in a statement,
00:31 "As Curb comes to an end, I will now have the opportunity to finally shed this Larry
00:35 David persona and become the person God intended me to be, the thoughtful, kind,
00:39 caring, considerate human being I was until I got derailed by portraying this malignant character."
00:44 "And so, Larry David, I bid you farewell. Your misanthropy will not be missed. And for those
00:49 of you who would like to get in touch with me, you can reach me at Doctors Without Borders."
00:52 The Hollywood Reporter reported in March that season 12 would mark the end for the comedy,
00:56 as David's current pact with the premium cable network was expiring this year.
01:00 The season wrapped filming that month, and the upcoming series finale was described by

01:16 After taking a six-year break, Curb returned in 2017 and stayed for four revival seasons.
