00:14 - When I found out I got the role of Percy,

00:16 I was very excited.

00:18 - Well, I just wanted to get on

00:19 because I have some news for you.

00:22 Sir, congratulations, you are Percy Jackson.

00:25 You got the part.

00:27 - I was also pretty nervous

00:28 because it's a lot of responsibility.

00:30 I don't wanna let any of the Percy Jackson fans down.

00:33 I don't wanna let myself down

00:34 because I love Percy Jackson.

00:36 - Heroes you see here in this room

00:39 are reminders of what we are capable of.

00:43 - Walker Scobell has the absolute perfect voice

00:46 for Percy Jackson.

00:47 - Rover, why is there half a goat in your pants?

00:49 - There was a certain combination of attributes, I think,

00:53 that were almost impossible to know

00:54 what you were looking for until you found it.

00:56 - So cool, right?

00:57 - He's funny, he's playful,

00:58 he's got a little bit of mischief to him.

01:01 - We love you, Bob.

01:02 - He came in with the best attitude.

01:03 He worked so hard.

01:04 He pushed himself.

01:06 It was amazing with the stunts.

01:07 He was amazing with the deep emotional scenes.

01:10 - He's such a fan of the books.

01:12 He knows that voice intimately

01:14 and he's got that sharp wit, that heart,

01:17 but also that heroism.

01:19 - Two, one, action!

01:22 - Getting onto the call

01:23 and we as a team offered Walker the role,

01:26 you know you're talking to a regular 13-year-old kid

01:30 and knowing everything is gonna change for him

01:32 and for his family and for us.

01:33 And then to see the look on his face

01:35 when he realized that he was gonna be Percy Jackson

01:38 was pretty remarkable.

01:40 - We got a lot of work ahead of us,

01:41 but we're gonna have a lot of fun, too.

01:42 We're looking forward to working with you.
