00:00 After years of division, Turkey has returned to trade and diplomatic relations with a major
00:07 trade partner, the UAE.
00:09 We started it in 2022, but the current year, 2023, has seen many of these agreements.
00:16 I will avoid you from the joint visits between the two sides.
00:21 The Gulf sector is clearly concerned with the UAE, and the Gulf of Abu Dhabi is also
00:27 concerned with one of the major ports in Turkey.
00:32 We will talk about this port, this deal, and the activities of Abu Dhabi ports in the
00:37 last few months.
00:39 The possible deal is with a body affiliated with the Turkish Wealth Fund to manage the
00:45 Izmir port on the coast of the Aegean Sea.
00:48 The expected value of the deal is $500 million.
00:51 If we look at the shares of Abu Dhabi ports, the share has been recorded since the beginning
00:57 of this year, rising by nearly 8% and a good 23 times profit.
01:02 We usually talk about 15 times, the P/E ratio is moderate.
01:06 But will this deal affect the share movement?
01:09 Let's take a look at the strategies of Abu Dhabi ports in the last few months and the
01:14 interest that is now in the economic relations of the UAE and Turkey this year.
01:20 In March of this year, a comprehensive economic partnership agreement was signed to double
01:25 the trade between the two countries to reach $40 billion.
01:30 Over the next five years, the figures were reduced to nearly 82% of goods and products.
01:37 And we know well that Turkey is looking for a very important trade alternative to countries
01:43 that may have weakened trade relations.
01:47 We are talking about investment in the energy sector and transportation projects to reach
01:52 $50 billion in July of 2023.
01:55 This deal was signed during the visit of the Turkish president.
01:59 And therefore, I just remind you that the matter did not stop only on relations with the
02:04 UAE and even Saudi Arabia.
02:06 But the interest of the UAE has become clear to us, especially in increasing investments
02:10 significantly.
02:11 Abu Dhabi ports in March of 2023, a comprehensive agreement was signed to operate the Egyptian
02:18 embankment for 30 years.
02:20 This effect extended to the Karachi port and a comprehensive agreement with the Karachi
02:26 port fund in June of this year.
02:29 The agreement lasted 50 years to develop a port in Pakistan.
02:34 The matter did not stop there, but it went to Europe, specifically to Spain in July of
02:40 this year.
02:41 The Spanish international company Nuatom was acquired at a value of 2.7 billion dirhams.
02:47 Is this just one of the agreements?
02:50 No.
02:51 In 2023, the investments between the two countries were completed.
02:55 I am talking about August of this year.
02:58 The world's Dubai port was acquired as part of the Turkish port of Ethiopia at a value
03:05 of 58%.
03:06 Also, the Islamic Dubai port was acquired as part of the Turkish group of Tom in September
03:13 of this year.
03:14 The share reached 20%.
03:16 These are the most prominent Turkish-UAE investments, and the last of them, of course,
03:22 for Abu Dhabi ports.
03:24 It will not be the last, and it will not be perhaps the last we see at the end of this
03:29 year, or perhaps you will also see the last days of the announcement of new deals.
