00:03 Doc, Monday night football and a lot of questions abound,
00:05 including who's going to start a quarterback.
00:08 On one side of the equation, we have a starting quarterback that's dealing with
00:11 a groin injury.
00:12 On the other side of the equation for the Philadelphia Eagles,
00:15 we're dealing with a quarterback with flu symptoms here.
00:17 Give me an idea of what we can anticipate here,
00:19 because flu ran rampant through the Dallas Cowboys locker room this week.
00:23 You saw the performance here.
00:24 Can we expect a good performance out of Jalen Hurtson?
00:26 Also, as a team doctor, how are you getting that quarterback ready to play tonight?
00:30 >> Well, I'm more optimistic about Jalen Hurtson,
00:35 his performance than Gino Smith.
00:37 You can play through flu-like symptoms.
00:40 It's the time of the year.
00:41 Those of us with kids know lots of kids are sick.
00:43 It's the winter season, flu and cold season.
00:47 Look, the earlier you hear about the cold or flu, I think the better the prognosis.
00:52 To me, the worst is to hear this morning that someone's been sick last night and
00:56 still over it.
00:58 You travel with at least three team physicians, five athletic trainers.
01:03 Jalen Hurts has been getting treatment and IVs and everything that he can.
01:07 And it's a game of football, week 15, no one's 100%.
01:11 No one's worried about his knee right now.
01:14 And I think he will play through.
01:15 Gino Smith, on the other hand, despite some midweek optimism and
01:20 some limited practice, I think it's gonna be hard for
01:23 him to play through the mobile quarterback he is with a groin to be able to drop back
01:27 and do everything that he needs to do.
