00:00 >> Mason's got confidence about him, we feel good about him.
00:06 Insert him in, I mean Mason works like a pro, he always has.
00:10 And from that standpoint, we feel confident about putting him in there and
00:13 going to execute.
00:14 I was here with him in 19, where he was really kind of,
00:18 ultimately the starter for the season.
00:21 And we did some good things for him, so I kind of have that background and
00:24 some comfort there.
00:25 So I'd expect him going and executing.
00:27 >> They all have their strong suits, you know what I mean?
00:30 And different things about them.
00:32 I mean, I know when Mitch was in there, we had that same conversation.
00:35 Mason's no different, what he can bring to the equation.
00:39 As far as from an execution standpoint, he's in all the same beats as the guys are.
00:43 Sully does a great job of getting with those guys and seeing what plays it is
00:47 that they like and what things that they may do better than the other guy does.
00:52 So those would be the only tweaks, it's more kind of like tailoring the offense
00:56 to roles and concepts that he feels comfortable with.
01:00 >> I know you guys don't change for the sake of change, but can that be a catalyst?
01:04 And I don't know if you and Sully provide a boost in your new role.
01:09 And can Mason just provide a boost simply by being a different base and
01:12 giving this team a different vibe?
01:14 >> Sure, that's what we're hoping.
01:15 I mean, for sure, I mean, that he comes in and can give us a part for us.
01:19 >> What is it, there's been a lot of backup quarterbacks that have either
01:22 started games or come in early,
01:24 could have had success in the league this year.
01:26 I think you guys have lost everybody where backup has had to come in.
01:29 Is there something that you guys aren't able to get or
01:32 that's holding this offense back from having success with the backup in a way
01:36 that other teams aren't able to?
01:39 >> That's a hard question to ask.
01:40 The only locker room or meeting rooms I'm in is for the Steelers, so
01:43 I can't really speak on any other places.
01:45 I know that in any case, whether it be Kenny in there or the backups,
01:49 we're trying to tailor and cater to them and what they do well.
01:53 And the offense and try to get them going that way.
01:57 >> Sure, I agree with that.
01:58 I mean, he's very confident in his abilities and his ability to make throws.
02:01 And so, yeah, I think he'll do that.
02:04 >> What has it been like as a leader this season,
02:07 during all the transition and changes on offense?
02:10 Or is it kind of hard to lead from the back when you're a three,
02:13 you're kind of behind the scenes?
02:14 >> And that's what I was gonna say.
02:15 I was like, when you're a three, I mean,
02:17 I think the best leadership you can provide is what people see when they look
02:20 about how you go about your business.
02:22 And he's been an awesome pro from that standpoint.
