01:01 and to win it with this young lady, man, she, she carried us all season.
01:07 You know, she made me look great as a teacher, as a partner.

01:14 You can't really like know how to really do any of this unless you have someone
01:19 who really understands you.
01:20 So you really understood me and you did all the dances that had my personality in it.
01:25 And I think that's what's important.
01:28 And this is your first win as a dad.
01:30 So what does that mean to you?
01:32 Oh, it's amazing.
01:32 I can't wait to give this to my son.
01:35 He's going to be like, that's tiny.
01:36 No, he's going to want to eat this for sure.
01:39 That's the first thing he wants out.
01:41 How did it feel to get all perfect scores tonight?
01:44 Which just at this point seems like typical for you.

01:49 I mean, you never know because it's like you're standing back there and you're
01:52 watching everyone else's other results, you know, and you're like, wow, okay.
01:55 Like, gosh, step it up.
01:57 And so those like little nerves kind of kick in, you know, and you're like kind
02:00 of second guessing things.
02:01 And it isn't until you kind of get down here and you know you're sitting out here
02:04 and like that's one thing I'll miss about this whole routine is that Val and I would
02:08 kind of do a little prayer before we go live.
02:11 And it was probably the one thing that settled me the most, like really grounded me.
02:15 And so I'm going to miss kind of that nervousness that I'd get.
02:18 And then he'd be like panicking because he'd be like, oh my gosh, why is she
02:22 freaking out like this?
02:23 And then the second we get to the dance floor, it's like easy and fun.
02:28 Well, you're the youngest person in the competition, but you took home the trophy.
02:32 I can't believe we did that.
02:34 Did you have any idea this would happen at the beginning?
02:36 No.

02:39 She was happy to make it past week five, right?
02:41 Yeah, I was like week five, maybe?
02:43 Yeah.
02:44 And then by the time we got there, I was like, okay, we're here and maybe we might
02:49 stay, question mark, you know?
02:52 The thing is there's so many elements, you know, there's so many variables that you
02:55 don't have control over.
02:56 So we just really just focused on like squeezing every ounce of fun and joy out of it.
03:03 It was so funny because at the very beginning, when I first had my first Zoom call with
03:08 Conrad and like all the people here, they weren't supposed to tell me what weeks each
03:15 were and like what their style and what kind of whatever it was.
03:19 And so I was like, I was listening and they would like kind of tell me and I pieced it
03:23 all together and I was like, okay, I know what week is what week and what theme.
03:26 And so I like figured out all my songs and what I wanted to do and what style.
03:31 And I just like had a whole plan and I was like, okay, if it goes like this, maybe, you
03:36 know, maybe I can get there.
03:38 And so it's been just crazy back then from like so long ago, I have that whole PDF that
03:45 I made and it's like, we did it all.
03:47 She's been watching the show for such a long time.
03:50 She's just, I mean, she blew me away.
03:53 She came in, she was like, Val, I read your book.
03:55 I know this and I know that and I know this.
03:57 And so I read his book.
03:59 I was like, yeah, I watched his old competitions and I watched a lot of his stuff with Jenna
04:04 on People, you know, where they're like, you know, celebrating their wedding and all their
04:08 stuff and their like YouTube videos.
04:10 Like it was just so much fun.
04:12 When we came in, I mean, it felt already like we knew each other.
04:17 Well, at least she knew.
04:18 I knew everything about him.
04:20 And I knew all the packages from each season.
04:23 Wow.
04:24 Someone did her research.
04:25 I did.

04:27 And it also allowed me to like make a lot of jokes.
