00:40 According to media reports, the Gujarat government has made a significant decision

00:44 to permit alcohol consumption within the confines of Gift City,

00:47 aiming to allure global financial institutions.

00:50 This announcement, unveiled on Friday, specifies that hotels, restaurants and clubs

00:55 offering wine and dine services within Gujarat's international financial tech city,

01:00 also the longer form of the Gift City, situated near the Gandhinagar,

01:04 will have the green light for alcohol provision.

01:07 One of the striking exemptions outlined in the move is involving employees,

01:11 officials and owners operating within the Gift City,

01:14 who will be absolved from the statewide prohibition law that strictly outlaws alcohol consumption.

01:19 To facilitate this provision, a specialized liquor access permit will be extended

01:23 to all individuals engaged in employment or ownership within the Gift City.

01:28 The framework further allows visitors to partake in alcohol consumption within hotels,

01:32 restaurants and clubs possessing temporary permits,

01:35 provided there are permanent employees from the concerned company present.

01:39 Moreover, the newly established guidelines within the Gift City will enable acquisition

01:43 of a wine and dine facility with the license of hotels, restaurants and clubs,

01:47 enabling employees and visitors associated with the Gift City

01:50 to partake in liquor consumption within these premises.

01:53 However, a notable restriction stipulates that these outlets are still barred

01:57 from selling liquor bottles as per the release issued by the state government.

02:07 from the Mumbai state, has witnessed a gradual relaxation in prohibition of measures
