00:00 The Czech Republic observed a national day of mourning to honor the victims of Thursday`s
00:07 mass shooting.
00:10 Poland`s new foreign minister urges Ukraine`s allies to mobilize economies on first visit
00:17 abroad.
00:20 The United Nations Security Council makes do with a watered-down resolution. In turn,
00:26 Israel says the UNSC fails to condemn Hamas.
00:31 French police have grounded an airplane carrying some 300 passengers and detained two for questioning
00:37 on suspicion of human trafficking.
00:43 The Czech Republic came to a standstill at midday Saturday as the country observed a
00:49 minute of silence as part of a national day of mourning to honor the victims of this week`s
00:54 mass shooting at Charles University in Prague.
00:57 National flags on public buildings were at half-mast and bells tolled at midday. President
01:02 Peter Pavel and speakers of both houses of parliament attended a service with the general
01:07 public. Students also lit thousands of candles at makeshift memorials at the Faculty of Arts
01:13 and the university headquarters nearby where the shooting took place.
01:17 The shooting inside the university`s Faculty of Arts on Thursday killed 14 people and wounded
01:22 25 before the gunman killed himself. Police and prosecutors say they have evidence the
01:28 24-year-old shooter also killed his father earlier in the day as well as a man and baby
01:34 in Prague last week. The investigation is still ongoing.
01:40 Poland`s new foreign minister, Bratislav Sikorski, has chosen Ukraine for his first visit abroad
01:49 in a sign of support as other allies waver on aid. Sikorski urges Kiev`s allies to mobilize
01:57 their economies to support Ukraine`s military, which is fighting off invading Russian forces.
02:03 "We cannot allow Russia to produce more on the basis of a much smaller economy. Because
02:12 war is not won by tactical battles. War is won by production. If the West mobilizes,
02:21 I have no doubt who will win. But it has to finally start mobilizing."
02:26 However, the country seems divided as Polish lorry drivers continue to block the border
02:31 crossing with Ukraine in protest for the withdrawal of EU benefits for Ukrainians.
02:37 The United Nations Security Council makes due with a watered down resolution on Friday,
02:48 calling for the intensification of aid deliveries to desperate civilians in Gaza, but without
02:54 the original plea for a ceasefire. In turn, Israel says the UNSC fails to condemn Hamas.
03:00 We are continuing the march. We will not relent until we reach an immediate ceasefire and
03:08 having the massive amount of humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people in the
03:14 Gaza Strip.
03:17 Thank you, Mr. President.
03:19 Seventy-seven days ago, Hamas intentionally murdered, raped and mutilated 1,300 Israelis
03:24 and took 250 hostages. And this council still has yet to issue a single statement condemning
03:31 Hamas and their atrocities.
03:33 The Israeli military released footage taken by a military-trained dog of a network of
03:38 underground tunnels beneath the area of Issa in Gaza City. They say they were used by Hamas
03:44 militants as a command and control center and has since been destroyed by troops.
03:52 French police have grounded an airplane carrying some 300 passengers, including unaccompanied
03:59 minors, on suspicion of human trafficking. Two passengers were detained for questioning.
04:04 According to a source, the passengers might have been planning to travel to Central America
04:08 to attempt a legal entry into the US or Canada.
04:11 I think it's the first time, as far as I know, that an airplane, it seems, entirely, with
04:18 all its passengers, is grounded for, obviously, suspicion of human trafficking. Organized
04:25 crime has a lot of imagination.
04:29 The plane had been due to refuel and was carrying 303 Indian nationals who had probably been
04:35 working in the United Arab Emirates. The airline has said it had committed no offense and is
04:41 at the disposal of the French authorities, but it said it would take legal action if
04:45 the prosecutors filed charges.
