00:05 in Cape Verde, an illegal incursion in the United States.
00:10 In an exclusive interview given in the third edition of Maduro's podcast, the diplomat
00:14 said that during his kidnapping, the U.S. government imposed unilateral coercive measures
00:19 against Venezuela and the Baltic economy in order to get nations collapsed.

00:29 where he had to perform his physiological needs.

00:42 his family had been subjected to by the U.S. government and how he was tortured for two
00:49 hours for refusing to sign a voluntary extradition from Cape Verde to the U.S.
00:56 In July 2019, I was sanctioned.
00:59 My sons, my brothers also were sanctioned, who didn't even have any link to the government
01:09 of Venezuela.
01:12 They were sanctions because they were relatives of mine.
01:17 Since 2019, I was sanctioned for working in the food system of Venezuela.
01:31 That first night, I was put in Yale.
01:39 No one spoke to me.
01:41 The next day and night, I had no food, no water.
01:47 At midnight, they started to talk to me, and they urged me to sign my voluntary extradition
01:59 to the United States.
02:00 I refused.
02:01 And then the control is, they handcuffed me and seat me in a chair.
02:12 They put out a towel.
02:15 They put a towel on my face and start filling my face with water.
02:23 So I had the sensation of drowning.
02:28 They tortured me for over two hours.
02:35 Alex Aba shared his experience in prison and admitted that he gets emotional when he remembers
02:40 about those moments.
02:42 On November 16th, a guard came to me and said, "Alex, there are a group of people from human
02:55 rights are going to come here with the director of the prison, Yale.
03:02 You need to Yale that you are being subjected to torture."
03:09 So when I heard that they were coming up, I started to Yale.
03:14 Well, they kept walking.
03:19 They didn't listen to me.
03:23 I still get very emotional when speaking about this.
03:28 Ten minutes later, they came back.
03:34 They opened the door and said, "Alex, we are here for you."
03:45 They verified that I was tortured.
03:47 They said, "This is not going to happen again."
03:53 They fired the director Correa from the prison.
03:59 Camila Fabri, wife of diplomat Alex Aba, recounts how the Venezuelan people were a great support
04:07 for her in the midst of the nightmare that this Fabri family was living.
04:13 This has been the victory of the diplomacy of peace.
04:23 This has been a historical victory, and they are in pain because they spent millions of
04:31 dollars in this media war and this demonization of Alex and Venezuela.
04:41 We are more than decided to defend the truth of Venezuela because there are a lot of lies
04:49 to justify policies against Venezuela.
04:55 We need to fight because these people deserve to be respected and deserve to be defended.
05:04 This is a loving people that they have given me a lot.
