00:00 Welcome to WatchMojo and today we're counting down our picks for the anime heroes who have
00:12 never been defeated, at least not when they were trying to win.
00:27 20. MASH BURNDEAD – MASHEL, MAGIC AND MUSCLES
00:31 As someone born without magic abilities attending a magic school, you'd think MASH would be
00:37 at an overwhelming disadvantage in all his battles. But you'd be wrong. Thanks to his
00:48 absurd devotion to bodybuilding, MASH has achieved superhuman strength that's more
00:54 than a match for any magic. His ridiculous muscles don't always smash through his opponents
01:04 right away, but he usually finds a way to overcome his foes eventually and maybe get
01:09 a workout in. Honestly, the only thing we can see him losing in is a contest to resist
01:15 cream puffs.
01:18 19. Cid Cagino – THE EMINENCE IN SHADOW
01:24 Technically, Cid loses all the time, on purpose. However, this is merely to fulfill his dream
01:32 of being an unassuming dweeb in public and an all-powerful mastermind in secret. In his
01:38 shadow identity, Cid not only defeats all his opponents, he does it with style. His
01:51 overwhelming speed, skill and power have demonic cultists and the strongest knights in his
01:57 kingdom questioning reality and their own life choices. Plus, he's packing magic that's
02:03 literally nuclear. Cid may be a try-hard edgelord, but he's proof that if an edgelord tries
02:19 hard enough, you really shouldn't mess with them.
02:26 18. Tatsuya Shiba – THE IRREGULAR AT MAGIC HIGH SCHOOL
02:35 While the magical education system initially fails at recognising Tatsuya's strength,
02:40 his classmates and everyone else he fights soon learn how wrong their school can be.
02:58 Tatsuya Shiba regularly annihilates everyone who challenges him through a combination of
03:03 martial arts, magical technology he's developed and his own specialised magic. His skills
03:23 in hand-to-hand combat can overcome magic-enhanced strength, and his long-range attacks frequently
03:28 blow everyone away, literally and figuratively.
03:36 17. Levi Ackerman – ATTACK ON TITAN
03:43 They don't call him humanity's strongest soldier for nothing, and considering some
03:47 people in this world can turn into monstrous, gigantic titans, that's quite the reputation.
03:53 Levi Ackerman is an incredibly badass character, who has a near-mythical status among his own
03:59 people. With nothing but his own strength and some nifty mobility gear, Levi cuts through
04:16 every titan or human who's foolish enough to attack him. He's killed dozens of titans
04:28 by himself, and fought off entire squads solo. Although Levi has lost things outside of battle,
04:35 and some things during them, one thing he never loses is a fight.
04:47 16. Himura Kenshin – Roroni Kenshin
04:51 Soft-spoken, polite and absolutely deadly with the blade, Kenshin is renowned as a legendary
04:57 assassin. And while he may have sworn off killing, this masterless samurai hasn't
05:03 given up on winning. If every fight he gets into is any indication. In battle, Kenshin
05:11 favors speed and dealing with his enemies quickly, although he also excels in longer
05:17 battles too, given his ability to easily adapt to his opponent's fighting styles.
05:29 Whether he's using his signature back-bladed sword or his bare hands, Kenshin cuts through
05:35 his enemies even if there's no actual cutting involved.
05:42 15. Giorno Giovanna – JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Golden Wind
05:54 This gangstar with a dream is a nightmare for his foes. Giorno Giovanna is one of many
06:00 powerful fighters in the Joestar bloodline, but none of them quite reach his perfect record
06:05 of wins. Although there are a few opponents he and his friends go up against that he can't
06:18 defeat, he never loses to any of them. His stand power, gold experience, is incredibly
06:24 powerful, initially having the ability to create small living things along with his
06:28 powerful melee attacks. After its power-up into Requiem though, Giorno gains the ability
06:38 to rewrite fate, ensuring he'll never lose. Bottom line, fighting against Giorno is just
06:45 plain useless.
06:55 14. Escanor – The Seven Deadly Sins
07:02 Among all the species in his world, Escanor stands at the pinnacle. As arrogant as he
07:07 is strong, Escanor can back up his swagger. The lion-sinner pride may turn into a weakling
07:22 at night, but during daylight he's an unstoppable mustachioed mountain of muscles. In addition
07:28 to his magnificent physical power, Escanor also possesses stupendous magical might. His
07:42 magic, sunshine, gives him the ability to wield the energy of the sun, and his overall
07:48 power peaks at noon. While a few of his fights end without a conclusion or are finished by
07:53 others, Escanor never loses his pride or a battle.
08:03 13. Kuso Saiki – The Disastrous Life of Saiki K
08:09 As the protagonist of a comedy series, Saiki doesn't do a lot of fighting. But the thing
08:15 is, if anybody does try, they lose in comedically short order. Saiki is a powerful psychic with
08:26 just about every ability ever conceived. Teleportation, telekinesis, super strength, you name it,
08:33 he can probably do it. Even he doesn't know the peak of his powers, since no one can approach
08:38 his level of psychic ability. If Saiki can be said to lose at anything, though, it's
08:49 in social interactions. Oh, and if there's a bug in the room…
08:56 12. Sora and Shiro – AKA Blank – No Game, No Life
09:05 This pair of siblings are undefeated online gamers, so it's appropriate that their winning
09:10 streak continues when they're brought to another world, where everything is decided
09:15 by games and contests. While each has their own strengths, with Shiro being more analytical
09:25 and Sora having more charisma, together they always turn out victorious. Even when facing
09:31 opponents from objectively stronger races, or with vaster intellects, Sora and Shiro
09:37 never fail to emerge victorious through planning, improvisation, or underhanded moves. And given
09:49 the scale, complexity, and magical nature of some of the games played in their new world,
09:55 their victories are even more impressive.
10:02 11. Koro-sensei – Assassination Classroom This yellow octopus creature may not know
10:11 defeat, but he knows plenty about teaching and assassination. Possessing an anti-matter
10:17 body that's immune to all conventional weaponry, Koro-sensei can only be harmed by weapons
10:23 designed specifically to harm him. However, given that he can move at speeds the excess
10:34 of Mach 20, it's rare that he even takes damage. Despite his students' best efforts
10:48 to kill him, with traps, trickery, and everything in between, Koro-sensei's biggest challenges
10:53 prove to be fellow modified tentacle people. And while his pupils do eventually fulfil
11:05 their mission to assassinate him, it's only because he allows them to.
11:16 10. Simon – Gurren Lagann Kamina may arguably be the manlier of the
11:22 two bros, but he ended up kicking the bucket pretty early on. All the while, his little
11:28 buddy went on to become the face of humanity's rebellion. Whether it's drilling through
11:45 beast men and their giant mecha, or trading fists with the anti-spiral, this once-innocent
11:52 digger became a cosmic defender that none could match. Who else do you know that's
12:04 piloted a robot the size of multiple galaxies, all the while clinging onto a half-naked goddess
12:10 like Nier?
12:22 9. Sakamoto Haven't you heard? I'm Sakamoto. What we
12:27 would have given for this guy's plot armour in high school. As an all-round genius, Sakamoto
12:33 has shown himself to be capable of finding a solution to any social problem thrown at
12:38 him with absolute ease. Dealing with girls, overcoming pranks, handling grades, trying
12:48 to purchase naughty videos, he has an answer for it all, not once fumbling or ever succumbing
12:54 to embarrassment. He may be a tad too perfect for some people's tastes, but you can't
13:05 deny he accomplishes every little action with flawless precision.
13:12 8. Kid Muscle – Ultimate Muscle It might sound surprising, but it's true.
13:20 The crybaby prince of Planet Muscle has never once lost a wrestling match in his whole career.
13:31 Rather impressive for someone who scares at the first sign of trouble. However, when
13:36 the going gets tough, Kid's unmatched power of Ultimate Muscle always finds him a way
13:41 to victory, even against some of the most flamboyantly dressed villains to ever grace
13:46 animation. Apparently, there's nothing a good Kidniku Buster can't solve.
14:01 7. Shigeru Akagi – Akagi Unlike Nobuyuki Fukamoto's other famous
14:11 gambler, this whiz kid is practically married to Lady Luck. Despite initially never playing
14:25 Mahjong before, Akagi turns out to have such natural skill that he manages to best professional
14:32 players without ever losing his cool. Considering the majority of the people he plays against
14:37 are bloodthirsty Yakuza members, that's saying something. Even when he has to wager
14:50 his own blood, Akagi still manages to cut his way to victory like it was no big deal.
14:56 Kaiji could stand to learn a few things.
15:05 6. The Medicine Seller – Mononoke Who you gonna call? The guy who could banish
15:14 otherworld apparitions in the most badass ways, while looking like a living painting
15:19 of course. While this curious feline-like individual presents himself as nothing more
15:31 than a humble medicine seller, in truth, he spends his days slaying the twisted phantasms
15:38 known as Mononoke. Part detective and part exorcist, when you see him go from pale to
15:46 gold then it's pretty safe to bet that whatever paranormal activity he is facing off against
15:52 is about to get fried.
15:56 5. Mamoru Takamura – Hajime no Ippo Yes, he can't keep it in his pants and comes
16:09 across obnoxious more often than not. That being said, holy hell can this guy punch.
16:22 With an unbelievable swing and Kamogawa's teachings keeping him in check, Takamura was
16:28 able to rise up the ranks to become a heavyweight champion, besting monsters like Brian Hawk
16:34 and David Eagle with staggering displays of strength. He'll annoy Yutsu no end with
16:44 his taunts, but when the bell rings, Takamura transforms into a beast capable of knocking
16:49 out a bear. That is not a metaphor, he actually decked a bear.
16:57 4. All Might – My Hero Academia Toshinori Yagi, better known by his hero
17:06 name All Might, is his world's greatest hero. With his incredible quirk, One for All,
17:12 he's able to act as a pillar that upholds peace of superhuman society. Despite an injury
17:24 and the gradual loss of his powers, in the latter part of his hero career, All Might
17:30 never loses a fight while he's a hero. He goes plus ultra to surpass his limits and
17:36 protect his students and ordinary citizens. Even after he loses his strength, the guy
17:53 still has enough presence to terrify villains into submission. Still, we always worry about
17:59 what the future holds.
18:08 3. Takuto Tsunashi – Star Driver Leave it to the galactic pretty boy to take
18:21 out every foe that comes his way with unparalleled style. In order to stop the Glycerin Crux
18:34 Brigade from turning his fellow students into psychotic soldiers in service to their dark
18:39 desires, Takuto rose to the occasion and assumed control of the ultimate cy-body, Tauburn.
18:51 Unlike most other giant robot series, no matter how big or beastly the opposition's mecha
18:57 gets, as soon as Takuto steps into zero time, the battle is already over.
19:10 2. Yusei Fudo – Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds The Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise has a lot of card
19:18 game duels throughout its history. Yet, among all those matches, Yusei Fudo arguably has
19:24 the only perfect record, for the most part. His first duel against Kallen is undecided,
19:40 and he does lose to Jack in a flashback. But during the current events of the story, Yusei
19:46 synchro summons his way to victory every single time, barring inconclusive matches. Whether
20:04 he's playing while riding a motorcycle or standing still, this duelist stands nigh untouchable
20:11 in a game of duel monsters, and he looks effortlessly cool while doing it.
20:41 1. Saitama – One Punch Man You have to feel sorry for the Hero Association.
20:47 They have the strongest being in the cosmos on their side, and they don't even know
20:51 it. Whether he's taking out gigantic supervillains, punching through meteors, or wiping out intergalactic
21:07 tyrants, all Saitama needs to end a foe is but a single blow from his all-powerful fist.
21:19 Maybe one day he'll come across a foe that can actually hold its own, but for now, there's
21:24 not a man or monster capable of putting a scratch on Saitama. Which undefeated heroes
21:40 did we miss? Let us know in those comments below.
