Work is underway to expand a historic pub in Skegness and return it to its former glory.
The renovation of the Red Lion will see the Wetherspoons pub closed for around six weeks.
Formerly Lion Hotel, the pub dates back to 1881 It became two units in 1984 the Lumley Road frontage of the lion was converted into shops.
During construction, the two units will become joined once again. Plans are to hark back to the building’s evolution as the Red Lion Pub and Hotel.
