00:00 So, Ahmed, how does it feel to be playing at the Royal Albert Hall and in London?
00:07 Oh my goodness, you know, it's kind of a dream come true. It's such an amazing place, such a history in this place.
00:15 There's so much meaning in it, the story, everything. So for us performers, all the greatest performers have been here.
00:22 And, you know, it makes you feel kind of like a great one too. But no, to me it's amazing. It's just something that we were waiting for so long, you know.
00:31 So we're finally here, finally our training's here and I just can't wait to perform. It's really a dream come true.
00:38 Amazing. And I saw that, so you started trapezing when you were five years old. Can you just talk to me about how you kind of got into it?
00:45 Well, I'm a third generation of circus family, so I was kind of born into it. And of course trapeze has been my passion since I've been five, six years old that my brothers started doing it.
00:55 We are five brothers.
00:57 And do all your brothers do it as well?
00:59 All of my brothers do it, yeah. Here I only have two brothers performing with me. So to me, you know, it's just part of my life already.
01:08 But it's something that I've fallen in love with since I was a kid, you know. I've been performing since I'm ten years old. So it's been quite a while, you know.
01:15 It's been a long ride, but for sure an amazing one.
01:18 It's amazing because, you know, we're traveling. Cirque du Soleil has different touring shows that travel the world.
01:23 And each show is on for anywhere between ten years or twenty years. So it's really long runs.
01:30 And we spend basically 52 weeks a year all together traveling around, performing and mesmerizing thousands of audience members.
01:39 For Allegría, since the pandemic, we've been performing since November 2021.
01:44 So we've done US, Canada, Korea, Japan. And now finally we're stepping foot in Europe here in this iconic venue.
01:52 Everybody's so excited. First of all, when you step into the Royal Albert Hall, you feel the history and there's something grand about this auditorium in the circle.
02:02 So everybody's very excited. And now we know we're put in accommodation in Kensington.
02:06 Everyone is getting to live a life that they've never thought would be possible. So it's going to be an amazing two months for Allegria.
02:13 Cirque du Soleil Allegria will be performed at the Royal Albert Hall from January 11th until March 3rd.
02:21 Along with incredible acrobatic performances, the show also has a Grammy nominated soundtrack.
02:27 Tickets for Allegria are available on the Royal Albert Hall's website with prices starting from £39.
