00:43 Schumacher was born on January 3, 1969 in the town of Hütz, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, to Rolf, a construction worker, and Elisabeth.
00:56 When he was young, he showed interest in racing, and his parents encouraged him by building him his own car.

01:11 In 1982, a young Schumacher won the German Junior Car Championship.
