Watch: Alleged car thief attempts to switch vehicles during high-speed chase

A suspect switched cars mid-police chase.

00:47 Dodge getaway car now evidence but it is not the same car the suspects used when

00:52 this pursuit started look at this the pursuits on but the suspects not

00:56 driving that red car instead they're driving this dark colored Dodge and

01:00 they're driving it dangerously blowing through red lights at intersections one

01:03 after the other even driving the wrong way right into oncoming traffic down city

01:08 streets several near misses along the way most of this high drama playing out

01:12 it at dangerously high speeds here they're running at almost a hundred

01:16 miles per hour right on city streets through South LA driving so fast Sky Fox

01:21 even loses the pursuit that's when the suspects try a new escape tactic

01:25 switching cars they switch cars leaving the black one behind and jumping into

01:29 that red Dodge thinking they can get away from LAPD think again minutes later

01:34 it ends the suspects and their their switcheroo move now switching their

01:38 freedom for an LAPD take down

01:43 and now live so it ends both under arrest both of these suspects they were

01:49 wanted because that first car the black and silver car they were driving to

01:52 start this pursuit it came back as a stolen vehicle so that's what started

01:56 this pursuit ending here about a half hour 45 minutes later it is one of the

01:59 LAPD officers told me these suspects seem to be getting crafty and more

02:03 crafty every night switching cars and the officer said it's a good thing we
