00:00 >> Mouser, what point in your career did you really embrace the special teams role?
00:04 >> You know what, I was actually just telling the story yesterday.
00:07 I've always been a teamer.
00:08 I've always loved it.
00:09 I've always had a soft spot for it.
00:11 I actually didn't even get my,
00:12 I wouldn't have even made it to college without special teams.
00:16 My coach told me he had never seen someone put kickoff for
00:19 their first 10 plays on their highlight film.
00:21 And so he was like, we gotta have you here.
00:24 And so I've always enjoyed it.
00:25 It's something I've always taken a lot of pride in.
00:27 I mean, I was blocking punts up at SUU.
00:29 And so it was something I've always known I could be good at.
00:32 And so when I got to the league, it was just right in step with what I've been doing.
00:36 I never had to change my mindset to say, okay, now I gotta focus on this.
00:41 It's something I've always loved.
00:42 It's been near and dear to my heart.
00:43 I take it very serious.
00:44 >> Why have you loved it?
00:45 >> Why have I loved it?
00:46 Man, I could go on and on, but for me, it's the purest form of the game.
00:53 It's one on one, but it's also so team driven.
00:58 For example, when I block a punt, it's not just my efforts, right?
01:01 It's everyone has to be doing their job.
01:03 And we run, it's almost barbaric.
01:08 It used to be barbaric on kickoff, but that's okay.
01:11 It's still a lot of fun.
01:12 It's still making a man do something against his will.
01:15 And open field tackling, it's blocking, it's everything.
01:20 It's everything about football in one play.
01:23 That's why I love it.
01:24 >> You've had a few here, a big one earlier this year.
01:26 Why do you have a knack for getting after the punter or the kicker?
01:29 >> Well, I think with anything, it's practice.
01:33 I'm very intentional with how I practice.
01:37 And it's something that, again, I take it very serious.
01:41 I know the odds behind it.
01:43 I know the math of it.
01:43 And so it's something that I use to kind of drive how I attack it.
01:49 And I do a lot of work with Danny Smith, and I do a lot of work with my guys here.
01:55 But it has to be something that you expect and would fully expect to get it.
01:58 >> Speaking of Danny, I know he's kind of allergic to.
