00:03 >> Doc, take a look at a game that was played in the rain in Baltimore on
00:06 Saturday.
00:06 My goodness, the Pittsburgh Steelers certainly happy with the victory and
00:09 heading to the playoffs, but
00:10 maybe at a cost of losing their best overall football player in TJY.
00:14 Talk to us about what you saw from the injury and also, would this have been
00:17 different if the outcome was a dry surface and on, excuse me, AstroTurf?
00:22 >> Potentially, yes, we never know for sure.
00:27 But look, in my experience, 17 years in the NFL,
00:30 whenever it was a wet, rainy game, especially on grass,
00:34 there were fewer traumatic type injuries like high ankle sprains or
00:38 ACLs or more significant ligament tears.
00:41 TJY still injured his MCL, it's a sprain, it's said to be grade two,
00:47 which fits, we thought grade one or two, we never thought grade three.
00:51 And unlucky, friendly fire almost after the play.
00:55 The bad news is he's an edge rusher and you need to get around the edge.
01:00 Very hard to get around the edge with an MCL.
01:02 I do not see TJY playing unless the Steelers go relatively deep into
01:09 the playoffs, certainly not this week.
01:12 Next week would be a stretch.
01:14 The conference championship becomes potentially realistic, but
01:19 that's a ways away right now.
01:21 When you lose your best player, best defender, it's an uphill climb for
01:26 the Steelers, but they are in the playoffs and alive is alive.
