There's a lot to look forward to in Manchester as we head into 2024.

New developments and events will be seen throughout the city-region this year - and if you're a fan of gigs and concerts - there's a whole range of top acts ready to take to the stage in the coming months.

Tickets are hard to come by for many of these world famous performers, but there are some remaining to snap up as soon as possible.

This year will see the opening of the brand new Co-op Live Arena, which is planned in April.

A huge list of performers has already been announced, and many more are coming.

00:40 First up and just a couple of weeks into the year, Bring Me The Horizon will perform at
00:44 the AO Arena on the 13th of January. The metal band has played sold out gigs in 50 countries
00:50 and their sixth studio album is set for release in the next few months.
00:55 The hugely famous American singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo, known for hits such as Driver's
01:00 Licence and Vampire, is set to be the first to take to the stage at the new Co-op Live
01:05 Arena. This year the singing sensation is bringing her Guts Tour to Manchester on the
01:11 3rd and 4th of May.
01:13 Another big name to be announced for Co-op Live is Nicki Minaj. The Trinidadian born
01:18 rapper and singer will be in town this May and Manchester is one of just three UK locations
01:23 on her Pink Friday 2 world tour.
01:26 The Queen of Rap will take to the stage at the city's brand new venue on the 25th of
01:30 May.
01:32 Next up, American rock band Foo Fighters are set to play two dates at Emirates Old Trafford
01:37 in June. These shows will be the band's first on-stage appearance in Manchester since the
01:42 death of drummer Taylor Hawkins in 2022.
01:45 You can catch them performing on the 13th and 15th of June this year.
01:49 Liam Gallagher, half of the famous brothers behind Oasis, is performing on four dates
01:54 at the new Co-op Live this year.
01:57 The Manchester-born singer-songwriter has a big year ahead, appearing at Reading and
02:01 Leeds Festival this summer and will take to the stage in Manchester on the 15th, 16th,
02:06 27th and 28th of June.
02:08 Emirates Old Trafford will be hosting another huge act this summer as Green Day will be
02:13 performing on stage on the 21st of June.
02:16 The band, known for American Idiot and Boulevard of Broken Dreams, have a new album out at
02:21 the beginning of the year and will be arriving in Manchester as part of a relatively small
02:26 UK leg of their 2024 tour.
02:29 And finally, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds will be putting on another Greater Manchester
02:34 outdoor show.
02:35 The Manchester icon is back again in 2024 and will be performing with the band at Robin
02:41 Park in Wigan on the 18th of July.
02:44 2024 is going to be a year for the Manchester music scene.
