00:00 So, Mr. Saqib, I have a question for you.
00:02 We have received a report that the court reporters themselves are surprised to see what has happened.
00:08 What is the silence in your eyes? You spend days and nights in the Supreme Court.
00:12 And you know many judges personally, based on your experience.
00:16 Why has this happened? Has this been understood yet or not?
00:20 Mr. Saqib.
00:23 Yes, there has been no solid point yet. And the close witnesses are not confirming anything solid.
00:33 What was the reason that the Chief Justice of the future had to resign suddenly a few months later?
00:40 And he had to resign from the Supreme Court and go home.
00:45 From 2016 to 2024, we have seen that the most powerful judge among all the Chief Justices,
00:55 whose name is Justice Iyaz-ul-Ahsan, is the only Chief Justice Qazi Faiz-e-Isha.
01:01 So, in this period, some things came up in the form of benches.
01:05 And we have seen that in the recent past, in some important cases, they were not part of the benches.
01:10 But before that, they spent 8 years.
01:13 So, after 8 years, without any big reason, without any reason,
01:17 and if they had any disagreement or something like that,
01:22 it is very surprising that a Supreme Court judge cannot take so much pressure.
01:29 Although, judges are also criticized.
01:32 And it is not that this is the first time that Justice Iyaz-ul-Ahsan has been criticized or Justice Mazaher Naqvi has been criticized.
01:38 Justice Qazi Faiz-e-Isha has spent 3 years in that period when there was a lot of criticism against them.
01:45 So, you are equally surprised, Mr. Saqib, what happened?
01:48 Okay, I will come back to you.
01:51 Mr. Mohsin, you tell me, is there any information as to why this happened?
01:55 Mr. Najib Mohsin.
01:57 Look, Mr. Badami, the very close sources, the judges who have resigned,
02:04 Justice Muzahir Ali Akbar Naqvi's resignation from the Supreme Judicial Council,
02:11 and this resignation has a very deep connection.
02:15 Justice Iyaz-ul-Ahsan was not only a member of the Supreme Judicial Council,
02:20 but he was also a member of the committee that has been established under the practice and procedure law,
02:24 which decides the cases in the Supreme Court of Pakistan for the hearing.
02:29 He expressed his reservations regarding the formation of the benches.
02:34 And along with this, Justice Muzahir Ali Akbar Naqvi's revised show-cause notice,
02:40 which was issued in accordance with 4-1,
02:43 on that show-cause notice, Justice Iyaz-ul-Ahsan had written a dissenting note,
02:48 and in that, he expressed his reservations on the Supreme Judicial Council's proceedings and many such steps.
02:56 He said that many such things have happened during this period,
03:01 which could not have happened without the hearing of the Supreme Judicial Council.
03:05 I was just listening to Mr. Hassan Raza Pasha, who said that Justice Sardar Tariq Masood,
03:10 who is a member of the Supreme Judicial Council, who gave an opinion regarding Justice Muzahir Ali Akbar Naqvi,
03:15 look, nothing was written in that opinion, that opinion is also present with me,
03:19 in that opinion, only one word was written that this matter needs further probe.
03:23 Apart from that, in that opinion, no complaints were made,
03:26 no details were given on the case, that this is my opinion on this complaint, this is what happens on this.
03:31 Usually, when a show-cause notice is issued, the details of the complaints are given in it.
03:36 Whereas, when Mr. Naqvi was given a show-cause notice, there were no details of the complaints.
03:41 That is why, in his initial response, he raised an objection to the revised show-cause notice,
03:46 after that, it was not even possible to issue a revised show-cause notice.
03:49 Then, a revised show-cause notice was issued.
03:52 Sir, you have told us the background, Mohsin, but you have told us the background.
03:56 Justice Muzahir Ali Akbar Naqvi challenged this whole proceeding in the Supreme Court of Pakistan,
04:01 so, usually, we see that in the case of Justice Iftikhar Chaudhary,
04:05 in the case of Justice Qazi Fahed Issa, when the Supreme Judicial Council's case was challenged in the Supreme Court,
04:11 then the proceedings of the Supreme Council were stopped, then the matter was decided by the Supreme Court.
04:15 But Mohsin, I will come back to this.
