00:00 "Storms across Britain have left at least 10 people dead,
00:03 closed motorways and disrupted rail and air travel."
00:06 England just seems to come to a standstill when there's any kind of disaster.
00:12 It kind of annoys me because, you know, it's just wind.
00:15 Can we get over it? It's just a bit of wind.
00:17 Oh, where do you want to start? Mother Nature intervened.
00:19 Like most days in the office, there was a little bit of wind out in Manchester today.
00:23 Absolute nightmare.
00:26 Sites coming off roofs, trains being derailed, trees, people being late.
00:31 Got the two BBs and Steve the keyboardist on just as the overture started.
00:35 "We stand alone from the day we're born till the day we die.
00:42 This is the law of nature.
00:48 We cannot escape the loneliness,
00:51 so many men have tried to take away the pain.
00:57 We always feel the same.
01:00 Alone again.
01:02 Haven't we been here before?
01:06 Alone again."
01:09 I didn't realise that she was feeling so bad, actually.
01:12 So when she came off and she had some tears, I was like a bit taken aback.
01:17 And then I thought, "Is she going to get back on or not?"
01:20 We just carried on changing her as usual,
01:23 trying to cut her out of the corset so she could breathe and stuff,
01:25 because she just couldn't breathe.
01:27 I said, "She's not going to make it." And they said, "Yeah, she will, she will.
01:29 She's always, always done it."
01:31 And I said, "No, not this time."
01:33 Vocally, it wasn't happening for her at all.
01:36 And she just felt she was completely feverish and riddled with the flu, basically.
01:43 "I hate to let you all down, but I'm just going to do one more song."
01:56 I felt really weak, dizzy.
01:58 I couldn't sing. I could hardly talk.
02:03 And I was hyperventilating and panicking and in tears.
02:09 And then we stopped and there was this gap that seemed like it went forever.
02:14 And then kind of put myself together to do the medley.
02:20 I felt dreadful through the whole thing.
02:22 And at the end of the medley, I go through the back doors.
02:26 And at the top of the stairs, I just sat there and I burst into tears with my head in my hands.
02:31 And I just, yeah, I just tried to use all my reason and think,
02:39 "Surely you can do this because you've done, you've made it through worse things."
02:43 But I don't know. I just couldn't.
02:51 [Applause]
02:53 I know it's Saturday night in Manchester and I've looked forward to tonight for a long time.
02:56 But as you can hear--
02:59 [Applause]
03:06 Don't worry. I just have a cold, okay?
03:09 But I have learned better than to push myself.
03:12 And I didn't want to cancel before the show tonight.
03:15 So--
03:20 In my mind, the whole audience is going,
03:26 "What's happened to her? She sounds terrible. She looks terrible."
03:31 And so I just felt ridiculous and incapable.
03:38 And, I mean, it has to be said that it reminded me somewhere deep in my subconscious
03:49 that the last time I was really ill on stage was before I was diagnosed.
03:55 So I had a lot of kind of--I felt really pummeled.
04:02 I was quite tormented, in fact.
04:05 Is it a miracle cure?
04:07 How come you then went on to do an a cappella section of one of your old songs?
04:13 Because I felt guilty.
04:15 I felt like--imagine how you'd feel with, what, 12,000 people in front of you
04:22 that are all going to be seriously disappointed.
04:26 I felt so responsible and guilty.
04:32 [Applause]
04:33 Don't look so sad, please.
04:38 So close, yet so far.
04:42 I just thought, "Damn. Damn it, damn it, damn it."
04:48 [Music]
05:05 Better sing it!
05:07 [Music]
05:33 [Applause]
05:37 [Music]
05:40 Kylie Minogue has been forced to cancel two more Manchester shows
05:43 after she was diagnosed with a respiratory tract infection.
05:46 Spokesman said she still hoped to perform next week.
05:49 [Music]
05:53 Nightmare.
