00:36 The former Senate was pushing for a separate vote on two chambers.

00:41 It is obvious that this is not a People's Initiative,

00:45 this is an initiative of other specialists in the Constitution.

00:51 What they want to happen is that we will no longer respect the Senate as equal to the House of Representatives.

00:58 The 24 senators will be mixed with 315 congressmen and then one person, one vote.

01:07 That's wrong because our legislature is bicameral.

01:12 That's why the ordinary law is tabla, especially in the legal field.

01:21 Don't sign that, especially if the idea, the content of the petition is not what you are thinking.

02:05 He said that he is strongly convinced that the People's Initiative is a legitimate and democratic way

02:14 He observed that the debate on joint voting and separate voting in the Constituent Assembly

02:19 is being a barrier to the complete reform of the Constitution.

02:25 The People's Initiative for Reform, Modernization and Action group explained

02:31 why they are advocating for the joint voting of the Senate and the House of Representatives.

02:36 Is the "voting jointly" what's written on the petition?

02:41 Yes. Because it is one of our arguments that our Congress should be unicameral.

02:51 Meaning to say, instead of having two houses of Congress, what's happening is our movement is slowing down.
