00:00 As the day draws to a close, so does the three-day event of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit.
00:06 And the numbers that we've all been waiting for, the total number of investments, the total MOUs that have been signed, are of some interest.
00:12 Chief Minister Bhupendra Bai Patel has tweeted about how this particular 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit
00:19 has raked in investments worth over 26.33 lakh crore and this is in over 41,299 projects.
00:28 Now if we go back to the last edition that happened in 2022, it was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
00:33 MOUs worth 18.87 lakh crore were signed in about 57,241 projects.
00:42 Now over the last four years, this brings the grand total MOU in various projects up to 98,540 projects.
00:51 Investments more than 45 lakh crore.
00:54 These are of course big numbers but what we're interested are the big ticket MOUs that were signed in this particular edition.
01:00 So let's circle back to the inaugural ceremony where Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries,
01:07 spoke about how he would be investing in green energy, clean energy in this particular state
01:12 and he has promised investments over 5 lakh crore.
01:15 We've also heard Chairman of the Adani Group, Gautam Adani, speak about how over the next five years
01:21 there will be over 2 lakh crore investments happening here.
01:24 NTPC also has signed MOUs for renewable energy projects over 9,050 crore.
01:31 So these are some of the big ticket MOUs that have been signed in this particular edition.
01:36 If you take a recap of the various sectors where MOUs have been signed,
01:39 of course there's semiconductors, green energy, food and agri-processing, chemicals, IT, ITES, FinTech and of course infrastructure.
01:49 The Chief Minister who spoke a little while ago at the closing ceremony,
01:54 spoke about how 50% of the MOUs are actually in green energy.
01:57 So this certainly bodes well but again as we told you in the very beginning of this special,
02:03 what we'll have to see is the implementation and how these MOUs come into fruition.
02:08 Of course many of these MOUs have different timelines and establishing periods,
02:13 so we'll have to watch out closely for the employment opportunities coming from this particular event.
02:18 But as it is, this gateway to the future, vibrant Gujarat, global summit comes to a close.
