Sven-Göran Eriksson says it would be a ‘dream’ to manage Liverpool when they play Ajax in a legends charity football match in March. Speaking on ITV’s ‘Good Morning Britain’ days after revealing he has been diagnosed with terminal cancer, the former England manager said he was not aware of a campaign by Liverpool fans to help realise his dream. Eriksson previously said Liverpool was the one Premier League club he regrets not having managed during his long career. Report by Chinnianl. 00:00 And did you know, because you'd mentioned of course that you'd never managed Liverpool,
00:07 did you know that Liverpool fans have called on the club to allow you to manage the Legends team
00:14 and the charity home match against Ajax in March?
00:17 There's a groundswell of support behind that. Would that be something you'd like to do?
00:22 No, I didn't know about that. I knew that they have a charity game in March, I think it is,
00:29 and via my son I'm invited to see that game. And that might be great, there will be a lot of good football players there.
00:38 But I should be the manager, no I never heard that.
00:42 If they offered it to you, would you accept?
00:46 I would accept, of course.
00:49 Well, Robbie Fowler...
00:51 That's been my dream.
00:53 Robbie, that would be your dream?
00:56 Yeah, that's always been my dream, but like a dream. I'm not complaining, I had a lot of good football teams,
01:04 national teams and clubs, so I'm happy.
01:10 Well, Robbie Fowler says the call has gone in, so it may still come to pass.
