00:00 Li Chang said 2024 is a crucial year for trust.
00:05 Crucial year for trust and he had five proposals on how to rebuild that.
00:09 Strengthen macroeconomic policy, strengthen global supply chains,
00:13 international cooperation on things like science and technology,
00:17 on green development and on boosting north-south and south-south cooperation.
00:22 And he says whatever changes happen in the world,
00:24 China is committed to opening up.
00:26 And he said he'd like business leaders to look at China's economy
00:30 a little bit like the Alps behind me.
00:32 I mean, it's pretty, but to really get that big picture,
00:35 you need to broaden your vision, take a step back to get that panoramic view.
00:39 And that is that China is making progress and will continue to provide an impetus to global growth.
00:48 China's contribution to global economic growth has remained at around 30 percent.
00:58 Last year, the Chinese economy rebounded with an estimated growth of around 5.2 percent,
01:04 beating the 5 percent target set at the beginning of the year.
01:16 Well, AI is the buzz here in Davos.
01:19 And Premier Li said, you know what, it's a double-edged sword.
01:22 It has plenty of opportunities, but there are also some big risks that it poses.
01:27 And that's why the world really needs to work together on AI to get that balance right.
01:37 China believes that technology must serve the common good of humanity.
01:41 The same applies to artificial intelligence.
01:43 It must be people-centered.
01:45 Human beings must control the machines.
01:47 AI must be guided in a direction that is conducive to the progress of humanity.
01:52 So there should be a red line in AI development, a red line that mustn't be crossed.
