00:00 Credit to Oklahoma, they did a great job taking care of business tonight.
00:09 They were locked in and had a pretty good game plan and
00:14 really slowed us down on the offensive end by throwing that token pressure out there.
00:19 And we just labored to get it across.
00:25 And we didn't labor too hard, but
00:26 we got it across, it just really shortened our possessions to where we got
00:32 into a point in time where we were a little bit frantic and we were taking bad shots.
00:38 Throughout the course of the game, weren't really sharing that basketball.
00:41 So credit to them, Porter's done an excellent job here at Oklahoma and
00:47 you guys got a heck of a ball coach and really doing well with that program here
00:52 at Oklahoma, so credit to them and their staff on a good win on
00:58 a midweek night here in Norman.

01:09 What happened in those few minutes in the middle of the first half where you guys
01:13 kind of lost the lead?
01:16 >> Forcing things, forcing things.
01:17 We weren't taking what they were giving us.
01:21 We talk a lot, especially in ball screen coverage,
01:25 of getting that thing out of there and not letting that ball stick.
01:28 And we should be able to punish people on the backside if we can get the ball
01:31 movement.
01:32 We never got that ball movement all night.
01:35 And I guess the sense of urgency would kind of hurt us
01:41 because of their token pressure and slowing us down.
01:46 And we've probably gotten too big a hurry on the offensive end.
01:49 >> And what about the rebound in there,
01:53 probably in the second half especially, what do you feel like was the difference?
01:58 >> Well, I mean, that's a huge key for us night in, night out, is the glass.
02:03 And we're playing without a five man, and we didn't have a backup for
02:08 Jesse Edwards.
02:09 And when he went out, that was a huge hit to us, especially on the glass.
02:14 I mean, he was basically averaging a double-double, and
02:17 we relied on him in so many ways.
02:19 So each and every night, the rebounding margin is gonna be critical.
02:24 And I told those guys in there,
02:26 this league's just too hard defensively to not score easy points.
02:32 You gotta find a way to score easy points,
02:34 whether it be second chance points or fast break points.
02:38 And we did not convert early in that first half in transition.
02:44 And we had some real good opportunities to do so, we didn't convert.
02:48 So we left those on the table.
02:51 And we only had one guy out there that got an offensive board, and he got three.
02:54 And we only got six second chance points.
02:56 So that's eight easy points when it boils down to it.
03:01 And it's hard to win this league just trying to rely on your half court offense.

03:19 He had good looks in the first half, they weren't falling for him.
03:24 So we were pretty connected defensively against Texas,
03:30 and I didn't feel that connection today.
03:32 It's a shame, we had to do a lot of what we need to get done today and
03:38 shoot around and kind of had to labor him a little harder than we typically do.
03:44 Because I didn't get a chance to practice yesterday with our travel woes.
03:49 So it took us nearly ten hours to get here.
03:51 So it's not an excuse, but it's something that comes into play in this league.
03:59 Sometimes when travel becomes a part of it, you can't get there efficiently.
04:03 So we try to shore up as much as we can shore up here and
04:07 shoot around today and had to work a little harder on that.
04:11 And I felt like our guys' minds and bodies weren't quite into it today.
04:17 It's a fast twitch game and if your legs aren't there,
04:23 you can tell when you're a step slow to the ball.
04:26 We were certainly a step slow to the ball.
04:28 It seemed like on every possession where there's a 50/50 chance of securing an extra
