Transcript
00:00 We wish that we could be with you on your mega strike and this is to tell you your Unison NEC is fully behind you.
00:06 And with our recently enhanced strike pay we want to equip every Unison member in Northern Ireland to have the power and resources to take on this rotten Tory government and their elite masses.
00:17 So Unison represents 50,000 members across the North of Ireland and we represent members throughout support services and education and the health services.
00:25 And you'll all be showing your unity and taking industrial action. For more than 12 months now members in health, trusts and arms-led bodies have led the way in industrial action.
00:34 Thursday will be your sixth day of strike action. You are united and determined to get your demands for pay and we've seen that in our social media.
00:43 I want to say that's fantastic and well done. Unison NEC are behind you and beside you and is proud of your determination of our health members to secure their pay parity.
00:54 Members in education, our education support service workers have now stepped into the fight waiting four years and more for a review of the pay spine that should be more fairly applied and improved.
01:04 You've all shown an equal determination to achieve the pay improvement you deserve.
01:09 So those with a political mandate on this island and those in power across the water will know that Unison members in health and education you won't remain silent or accept low pay or poor pay deadlock.
01:21 We want to end now with saying solidarity to every single one of you. March with pride to the nurses, teachers, civil servants and thousands more that will be on strike with you over Northern Ireland this Thursday. Solidarity to you all.
01:35 Solidarity to you all comrades.
