00:00 So in this video I'm gonna show you exactly how to make an intro animation, an intro video inside Premiere Pro
00:07 and I'm also gonna give you an intro video template for free. Check this out!
00:12 Okay, so I'm gonna give you the template and also the included sound effects.
00:21 If you don't know me yet, my name is Szilard from BlueFX.net and we create video templates.
00:26 If you already like the template that you're seeing, make sure that you hit the like button
00:30 and also subscribe to this channel because when we release new templates you don't want to miss them.
00:35 Now let's start and let me show you exactly how you can edit this project, how you can create an intro video
00:43 even if you're a complete beginner inside Premiere Pro.
00:46 So the first step is to download the template. All you gotta do is to click on the link in this video's description.
00:54 It's in the bottom of this video and once you unzip that project, you're gonna find a project named Universal.
01:01 Okay, open that up and there you're gonna find a lot of cool files.
01:06 Select all of them, drag and drop them to your timeline inside Premiere Pro, actually to your project panel here.
01:14 Okay, now we have imported our footage and let's start creating.
01:21 Now you have here something called a background. You just drag this background to your timeline.
01:26 Boom, like that. The next step, the next thing that you want to add is one of the animations.
01:32 We have included multiple colors, we're gonna use now the blue color just because it goes well with our logo.
01:38 Now let's preview this.
01:40 Okay, so this is the animation. Now another thing that you can add here is obviously your logo.
01:51 So we're gonna add our own logo. We're gonna import the logo of BlueFX here.
01:57 Boom, let's drag and drop it to our timeline.
02:01 Okay, and what you want to do is you want to put your logo below, underneath the animation layer.
02:09 Okay, so let's take the time, let's find the perfect time.
02:13 Okay, this is the time where the ribbon is covering the screen.
02:19 Okay, so here I'm gonna put my logo animation. My logo should start here.
02:25 Now obviously I'm gonna turn off the top layer a little bit.
02:29 Now obviously you can see this logo is way too big. So we gotta scale this down.
02:33 So let's scale this down like this. Scaling it down.
02:40 Okay, now it disappeared. Let's see if this looks good.
02:44 It looks good. And we could say...
02:49 We could say we already have a cool looking logo animation.
02:55 But I want to show you how to make this even better.
02:58 Now we have included a layer called Lens Flare. Okay, here you gotta find the flare.
03:04 Now we're gonna drag and drop this and just start it from the beginning.
03:09 From the beginning of your timeline, your project, you're gonna add this here.
03:14 So all of these lines, all of you have the animation and the lens flare aligned at the start.
03:22 Okay, now as you can see this is not really looking good because we have a black background on the animation.
03:29 So for that, all you gotta do is go to your logo animation, lens flare, click on that video file.
03:37 And then you have your effects. You gotta go to your effects and go to opacity.
03:44 If this is closed, just twirl it down like this, opacity.
03:48 And here you have something called blending mode.
03:51 Okay, to open this up and just click on select the screen blending mode.
03:58 And the black background disappeared. Let's take a look.
04:06 And as you can see, we have here the lens flare moving.
04:12 It gives it an extra, it makes it look better, simply.
04:18 Okay, and the next step that I wanna add is I wanna add a text.
04:25 I wanna add a nice subtitle. Okay, so how do we do that?
04:28 Well in Premiere Pro, all you gotta do is go to graphics, new layer and text.
04:36 Now once you do that, a new layer will appear.
04:39 We're gonna change this up, but first let's type in some text.
04:43 Okay, very inspirational. So go to bluefx.net to get cool templates.
04:49 I wonder why I use this phrase.
04:52 I also wanna change the color. So for that, you select the text and go to the settings panel,
05:01 the effects panel here and let's start with the color.
05:06 Now the color, I like to use obviously color that has enough contrast so that people can read it.
05:15 But the idea is that if you make it just a little bit closer to gray and not just that dark black,
05:24 then it will look smoother to the eyes when you have contrast, but not that super harsh contrast.
05:31 Okay, so let's just make it something like this, a darkish gray.
05:38 Okay, now let's make the font different.
05:43 Let me show you a cool font. It's called Roboto. I like to use this one.
05:49 It has a cool name and it looks good. So I'm gonna use Roboto regular.
05:55 Okay, let's make this one smaller. We make the text smaller like this.
06:01 Okay, that's gonna look good. And now we gotta reposition it again to the middle.
06:08 Okay, I think we have something. Now let me show you another trick.
06:15 If you listen to the audio, you will hear that there's a bell sound right about here.
06:25 The bell sound. Okay, now here's the bell. The bell starts around this part.
06:36 So what we want is we want the logo animation to, I mean the text to appear exactly on the bell.
06:42 That will give a nice effect to it. But I also want to add a fade in effect.
06:49 Now super simple setup in Premiere Pro to add a fade in. Let me show you.
06:56 Hold down control and push D, control D. And that will automatically add a cross dissolve effect.
07:04 And we're gonna have a cross dissolve effect at the start of the layer and also at the end of the layer.
07:11 But we only need it at the start of the layer. Okay, I'm gonna delete it from the end of the layer.
07:16 By selecting it and clicking on delete. And next I'm gonna make this cross dissolve a little bit faster.
07:25 And now, and now, and now, and now it's time to watch, to check what we've done.
07:33 [Music]
07:38 Perfect. And that's it. This is how you make an intro animation, an intro video inside Premiere Pro.
07:45 Okay, so if you enjoyed this video, please make sure that you click on that subscribe button
07:50 and on that like button, because I very much appreciate it. And if you have a feedback from me
07:55 or if you just like this video, if you don't like this video, yeah, just write a comment.
08:00 It's very important. The gods of YouTube, I heard that they favor the videos if they have a lot of comments.
08:08 Okay, now the idea is that if you don't have this logo animation, again, click on the description.
08:16 There's a link in the description and you can check that out. I'm also gonna link to another video.
08:22 I'm also gonna link to another template that is a premium template that comes with 10 animated logo animations.
08:31 Okay, so here's one for free and we also offer paid version that comes with 10 different logo animations.
08:40 Okay, so thanks very much for watching this video and I'll see you in the next one.
08:46 (upbeat music)
08:49 (whooshing)
