00:00 They are the foreigners featured in Amazing Earth.
00:04 There are so many beautiful views of the Philippines.
00:15 That's why even the locals are willing to live here and don't want to leave our country.
00:22 One of them is a travel vlogger whose name is Pinoy online.
00:28 Here he is, Commander Daud.
00:32 Since I've been here, I've just done all kinds of crazy things I never ever thought I'd end up doing.
00:38 Commander Daud is on the go!

01:00 In 2016, Anselm arrived in the Philippines.
01:04 He's a photographer from Wales, United Kingdom.
01:08 He was fooled by the fact that he married Nell.
01:12 Now, they have a one-year-old daughter, Lily.
01:17 Life with my wife Nell and my daughter Lily is good.
01:21 Of course, there are challenges but we're starting to be able to travel together now,
01:26 which is really, really nice.
01:29 The first five years, I encountered a lot of business failure.
01:33 The fishpond especially was so much of a struggle.
01:37 [Explosion]
01:39 Because his agribusiness ventures were a bit too much, Anselm decided to become a travel vlogger.
01:47 This is where his vlog, Commander Daud, came from.
01:50 As I walked in, one of them said, "He's our commander."
01:54 He's our commander, which I'd never heard before but it was funny.
01:58 At which point, I tripped over something.
02:00 So, of course, I was christened Commander Daud.
02:02 Hey, okay!
02:03 He also has a heart for helping others.
02:06 [Explosion]
02:07 Just like the manalanta, the Odette village in Visayas in December 2021.
02:14 It's very, very difficult.
02:16 It really, really affected me.
02:18 I actually did a pump boat project of my own, making eight pump boats of which six are complete.
02:23 Those really helped the fishing communities that were devastated.
02:27 [Explosion]
02:28 At one point, Commander Daud visited a very different community,
02:32 the barangay of Isabela City, Visayas.
02:35 The entire barangay is located at the sea.
02:37 Their school is included, the Bajau Floating Integrated School.
02:43 This is where they live.
02:45 And so, this is their natural environment.
02:47 And it's bringing education to them.
02:49 [Explosion]
02:50 At present, there are more than 1,000 students enrolled here from Kinder to Grade 7.
02:57 Commander Daud became an instrument to introduce the Bajau students here in Mindanao.
03:05 This is the coolest school in the Philippines.
03:08 It's very unique.
03:10 What I can do is bring awareness.
03:12 Bring awareness that people exist.
03:16 There are still many places he wants to visit in the Philippines.
03:20 Because this is my home.
03:21 This is the place I love.
03:22 The BTS Army is not only a solid fan of the biggest boy band in the world today,
03:32 but also a neighbor of nature, the Purple Echo Warriors.
03:35 [Cheering]
03:41 Global Pop Phenomenon.
03:42 They are the BTS, or Bangtan Boys of South Korea.
03:47 The biggest boy band in the world today.
03:51 Here is the receipt.
03:53 35 million albums sold.
03:57 60 million subscribers on YouTube with 13 billion views.
04:02 Almost 400 awards, including recognition from the American Music Awards,
04:08 Billboard Music Awards, and MTV Music Video Awards.
04:14 BTS Army.
04:15 This is what millions of fans of groups from all over the world call.
04:21 Young or old.
04:23 Male or female.
04:24 Proud of being an ARMY.
04:30 One of the BTS fans groups, One in an ARMY,
04:34 is active in various advocacy and global campaigns supported by BTS.
04:40 One of them is the care for nature.
04:43 [Cheering]
04:47 When BTS released their song about the so-called "loneliest whale in the world,"
04:52 One in an ARMY was included in a project by an NGO in California.
05:00 That particular whale has been continuously referenced by BTS and by ARMY
05:06 as a reminder that even though you are doing your own thing,
05:10 and you feel like you might be alone, you're truly not alone.
05:14 One in an ARMY is tied up with the Ocean Defenders Alliance, or ODA.
05:22 The ODA volunteers at the ocean
05:25 to help the abandoned whales in fishing and other man-made debris.
05:32 There are several reasons to get abandoned crabs out of the water.
05:37 One is obviously the animals that it targets.
05:40 They bond to those things and they die in there.
05:43 We found fish in there, big crabs, I'm talking about, they're called sheep's crabs.
05:48 They get stuck in there.
05:49 ODA provided us with a really wonderful opportunity to celebrate ARMY
05:55 by focusing on something that we feel so strongly about.
05:58 [Music]
06:00 For one month, we dedicated our dives to the One in an ARMY.
06:07 And we removed 11 traps over that one month.
06:10 [Music]
06:13 [Cheering]
06:17 Last year, Time Magazine introduced BTS as the Entertainer of the Year
06:23 and they were also included in the Most Influential List.
06:28 It's obvious how influential the group is in their lives.
06:33 [Cheering]
06:37 BTS has really taught us that if we give our whole heart,
06:42 and we do it with passion, even though we're only one single person,
06:47 we truly are one in an ARMY.
06:50 And in that, our support is impactful.
06:54 [Cheering]
06:56 To all the BTS ARMYs around the world,
06:59 we salute your courage and your courage.
07:02 [Music]
07:05 It's also a miracle that an American came here to the Philippines
07:09 for a religious mission.
07:12 But what he didn't know,
07:13 the path of his life will change after he gets here.
07:18 [Speaking Filipino]
07:22 Missionerong hangat mag-convert niya.
07:26 Convert into a travel vlogger.
07:29 So I was a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
07:33 And we did a two-year mission.
07:35 And I was assigned in Bocolod area, so Negros Occidental.
07:40 So that's where I learned, I first learned Ilonggo.
07:43 And then after learning Ilongo, I was assigned in some areas that spoke Bisaya.
07:47 [Speaking Filipino]
07:49 In a delicious experience, Carson returned the country.
07:53 [Speaking Filipino]
07:57 Carson's love affair with the Philippines
07:59 continued in 2014
08:02 with his love, Bisaya Hilaw.
08:05 [Speaking Filipino]
08:09 Our American vlogger, Bisaya Hilaw, traveled more than the length of Sierra Madre.
08:15 And in his journey, there's a treasure in his heart.
08:19 I love you!
08:22 200,000 followers on Instagram,
08:24 nearly 1 million subscribers on YouTube,
08:27 and almost 2 million followers on Facebook.
08:30 First time nako diri, ato bang yutsa sa uda si Galante.
08:34 O, diba?
08:51 You can talk to anyone and they're gonna say how hospitable Filipinos are.
08:55 Chill, chill, relax, kaya unyong competition.
09:06 So I am dating Zoe Pellier.
09:09 She is half Australian, half Filipina.
09:12 She's the writer of our blogs.
09:15 She's very bright, she's very beautiful,
09:17 and she loves animals. That's her advocacy.
09:20 She's always trying to save the aspens.
09:22 [Music]
09:25 Pero sa ngayon, LDR.
09:27 O, long distance relationship muna sila.
09:38 So, Zoe, what do you have to say about that?
09:42 Hi!
09:42 Oh!
09:46 What the heck are you doing here?
09:48 You're a liar instead of someone else.
09:52 Thank you. That was really surprising. Miss you.
09:55 Miss you.
09:55 He really pushed me to kind of see the world a little bit differently.
10:01 So that's the one thing that I appreciate.
10:04 The next thing is like how kind he is to everyone.
10:27 Kaya sa mga kapuso nating on the go,
