Government to end two month trial of later opening times for Darwin bottle shops

The government says it will end a 2 month trial of later opening times for Darwin bottle-shops, with takeaway liquor outlets allowed to resume a 10AM opening as of January 26th. After sweeping changes to alcohol laws last year, industry groups and government have acknowledged that changes to trading hours and the Banned drinkers register, have had unintended consequences.
