00:00 So tell us why do you think Pakistan is doing well, whether politically, economically or socially?
00:08 Yes, Assalam-o-Alaikum.
00:10 The pen in my hand, the light in my mind.
00:13 What can suppress me, someone who has nurtured darkness.
00:16 I am worried about the world, you are worried about yourself.
00:19 I am turning, you are going to be destroyed.
00:22 I think that Pakistan is going to a positive direction in the future.
00:28 The main reason is that if we look at the past, we see that every election,
00:34 sometimes the voice of the presidential system comes, sometimes the dictatorship comes,
00:38 and sometimes the expectation of various systems to rise is there.
00:42 But we are seeing that since 2008, the democracy in Pakistan is stable.
00:47 This means that Pakistan is going through a revolutionary process,
00:51 which we can go through a revolutionary process and in the future, we can strengthen the democracy and the people and take the path to our progress.
01:02 If we agree on this, then what is happening is the democracy, then the question of stability and order is a different matter.
01:10 Pakistan basically exists in a hybrid democracy, but today after 2008, we have a order of democracy.
01:19 The second thing is that today's youth, the biggest population of Pakistan exists.
01:25 Before this, people never started raising questions, but today's youth is slowly becoming a popular youth.
01:32 The biggest reason for this may be social media or other reasons, but they start raising questions.
01:38 The biggest thing in the culture is to raise questions.
01:41 If you raise questions in the culture, then you start going towards a betterment.
01:46 They say that the questions that were being raised, but the question is still there.
01:52 So they say that raising questions gives an idea of the social consciousness of the nation,
01:56 but do you think it is right to raise questions?
02:02 Look, Ikrar bhai, being a law student, my narratives are a little different.
02:07 We are taking Pakistan to a right direction, this was our topic.
02:11 And he talked about democracy in this, the two lawyers who were with me in the support,
02:16 they talked about democracy, they said that for the past 15 years there has been democracy in Pakistan,
02:20 we are free from dictatorship.
02:22 In my opinion, the biggest role of justice in democracy is justice.
02:26 Because I am a law student and in my opinion, justice is very important.
02:30 The way justice has worked in this country in the past and is still going on,
02:35 the way justice is taking a stand on the latest cases, the way Justice Qazi Faiz Isa has shown live judgments of important cases,
02:44 whether it is the Baloch case or the case of the bullet that was shot by the Peshawar High Court,
02:50 and the level playing field, if it is going from the Supreme Court,
02:54 then it means that somewhere or the other, democracy is still alive, justice is still taking a stand, justice has played a very important role.
03:01 And if I get a point, I will talk about the role of the press media.
03:06 Let's talk about democracy, you give the next statement.
03:09 Tell me, we are talking about democracy and he is making fun of it in a way that it is a very good thing that martial law was not implemented.
03:17 So don't you think that there has always been a special kind of devotion between democracy and martial law?
03:23 So we are going through that devotion.
03:25 It is also true that we are going through that devotion, but I have not had such a long devotion.
03:31 It is a rare blessing.
03:32 And the second reason is that if martial law is still being tried to be implemented,
03:38 then it is possible that the people have become aware of this, the youth have understood this matter.
03:44 If this happens again, then the reaction of the people is possible, it will be even more severe.
03:49 Okay, you saw that my right-wing reporters think that Pakistan's direction is correct, there are challenges, there are difficulties,
03:56 but ultimately we are in the right direction as a nation, as a country.
04:02 But these people do not agree with this and why don't they agree? I ask you.
04:07 Brother also read a poem, so I will also read a poem in his argument that thousands of strings of strings are wrapped around the feet.
04:14 It would have been better if our feet were made wings. Birds have never stopped the path of birds.
04:19 It would have been better if God made the world a bird house.
04:22 So it would have been better if God had made Pakistan a bird house.
04:26 It would have been better than this.
04:28 Because our biggest problem is that we do not stop interfering in each other's work.
04:34 Stability in Pakistan is not only due to the fact that no Prime Minister is completing his tenure
04:40 and the international institutions like the IMF, who should they go to express their trust?
04:46 How to go and give that money to whom, who will invest our money in the right place and will return us back.
04:52 So I think that there is still a complete character in Pakistan, the democracy is only of name.
04:58 The things of the name are only of the name, they have no essence and neither do they have a character,
05:05 nor do they have any stability and nor is there any progress.
05:07 So you don't see any chance of improvement?
05:09 If I stay like this for the next 20 years, I don't see any chance of improvement.
05:14 Okay, you tell me, why do you think that the direction of Pakistan is not right or that we are not in the right direction?
05:20 There are many reasons for this, but the fundamental reason is that I do not believe in the system of democracy in our country.
05:28 Why don't I believe? Because if you define democracy, then it means that the people elect and the government is for the people.
05:37 So the fundamental question here is that does the coming government elect our people or is it elected for us?
05:44 So if I add this to what my colleague said, that when you want to solve any problem, you solve it when it is in the public eye.
05:53 So the same thing came about the consciousness of the people that consciousness came to the people, so this is also very good for the democracy.
05:58 So the biggest problem in our country is that our consciousness is temporary.
06:03 Our blood is boiling, but after that it is completely silent.
06:07 So what is the problem with this is that your people come out to get their frustration out of it.
06:12 You cannot call it consciousness that this is a consciousness that the people have found out.
06:16 Consciousness is when your people continue a constant struggle and struggle is visible to you.
06:22 Now your people have come out on the roads, it is night, morning, the new sun has risen, the people will continue their routine there.
06:29 You cannot call it consciousness. When consciousness comes to your people, it is visible.
06:33 Like your French Revolution or all the revolutions that have come, your peoples are constantly struggling, which is why there is change in your country.
06:41 So that's why I think that the system of your country is not going in the right direction.
06:47 Let's move on to this point, as it is a lot of talk that consciousness comes forward.
06:51 So do you think that consciousness is what the peoples collectively learn from their experience?
06:58 That consciousness is given to them through spoon feeding.
07:01 We have heard the word spoon feeding from a guide in Pakistan.
07:04 So do you think this is consciousness that was created overnight on social media and we said that we have consciousness?
07:09 Or is it a gradual process of consciousness coming to any nation?
07:12 My view on this is that it is obvious that a time is required to awaken consciousness in any nation.
07:19 And I take the support of my own opinion that a time is required to implement it.
07:29 A lot of talk is made about social media.
07:31 It is obvious that it generates a positive impact.
07:35 But still we see that the way social media campaigns are being run, they are very specific.
07:42 And obviously they are political parties who limit their thoughts and benefits to their democracy or politics.
07:54 Instead of using it to make a nation or to work on the benefits of our nation as a country.
