00:00 >> Deshaun coming along and where do things stand in terms of moving forward
00:04 with him and is there any precedent for an NFL quarterback or another athlete
00:10 that you're kind of going along their timeline for
00:12 having suffered a fracture going on?
00:14 >> Mary Kay, more generally, Deshaun's progressing well.
00:21 He's doing everything in his power in terms of rehab.
00:24 He's coming along well.
00:28 We anticipate him being on a normal or potentially ahead of schedule time.
00:32 I hesitate to say that because it still is early.
00:36 But we're really pleased with this progress so far and
00:39 certainly looking forward to getting him back when he comes in the spring.
00:42 >> And do you have anybody that you have,
00:45 one dad that has suffered this same kind of pressure?
00:49 >> I'd say that's probably a better question for our medical staff.
00:53 But probably the bigger takeaway is,
00:56 we feel really good about the recovery.
00:59 There's nothing that would suggest that there should be some type of limitation or
01:03 anything like that moving forward.
01:05 >> And kind of off of that, Deshaun, it seemed like every time he would,
01:10 seemed like he was turning a corner, the rotator cuff and
01:14 then Baltimore game and the broken shoulder.
01:17 Do you feel comfortable with how much you've been able to
01:21 evaluate of him in game settings?
01:26 Kind of going forward?
01:28 >> Yeah, we'd all love to have him on the field more often.
01:31 I think that's safe to say, himself included.
01:34 Do feel really good about him, happy with the progress that he's made within
01:39 our organization, both on the field and off the field.
01:42 And we're looking forward to getting him back next year.
01:44 We think he's gonna have a really big year and
01:46 have a ton of confidence in him as our starting quarterback.
01:49 >> How would you characterize the trade?
01:50 So almost to the halfway point,
01:52 he's played 11 games since 2020, he's coming off right shoulder surgery now.
01:57 How would you characterize the way the trade has gone to this point?
02:01 And then what gives you optimism that he's gonna get the level of Mahomes,
02:05 Stroud, Lamar, and Allen who hosted the first round playoff games?
02:10 >> Yeah, Jake, I honestly haven't spent a ton of time thinking about that.
02:13 When we made the trade, we really looked at it as, hey,
02:16 this is something that we'll evaluate a 10 year time horizon,
02:21 because these guys play.
02:23 Obviously, we want him on the field more often than he's been.
02:26 He can't help the shoulder injuries this year.
02:30 But we're really pleased with him.
02:32 He's very talented, he's very hardworking, he's adaptable.
02:36 And we really feel good about him moving forward.
